The Spirituality of the Ovaries
This is where it all begins…this center of creativity.
The ovaries represent not only the source of life but the source of creativity as a woman. Today’s woman experiences many pressures –
lifestyle,
motherhood,
career.
A number of these pressures were not faced routinely by women in the past.
Today’s woman faces many issues on various fronts. How:
do you feel about creating life in your own body?
do you feel about being a woman?
can you “have it all”?
are you dealing with any pressures from outside sources to start/continue a family?
are the many masculine tasks which you routinely perform impacting your life?
do you nurture, support, honor, validate yourself?
long do you think you can “run on empty”?
As women, we all reach a point in our lives in which we must claim our voices and our wisdom. The first step in this process occurs when we become aware of our needs and desires.
It’s important to enjoy oneself as the goddess you are. It is equally important to cease:
self rejection
self neglect
self invalidation.
Begin by giving yourself just 5 minutes each and every day. Sit quietly, close your eyes, inhale and exhale deeply a few times. When you are quiet, review some of the things you are grateful for:
the insight you experience
your intuition
the courage and strength that you gain from being a woman.
Offer appreciation to your body in general and your ovaries in particular. Reflect on how your ovaries function for you.
If your ovaries are not as healthy as you feel they should be, send them healing energy and love. Thank your ovaries for all they have done for you.
If you no longer have your ovaries, send them gratitude for the support they offered to you when you had them.
Conclude this session by thanking your body – the spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical parts of you which are moving you through your life day by day.
End now by gently moving in graceful motions.

The Spirituality of the Liver
The liver reflects how we feel about what is happening in our lives on both an . emotional and spiritual level.
The liver is the largest organ in the body and performs many functions. Fats are converted into energy, nutrients become usable, bile is produced. Stresses in the diet are felt in the liver first.
When our lives are out of balance, the liver reflects this condition with
Bad digestion,
Fatigue,
Headache
Poor appetite.
Because the liver is a primary detoxing organ, it can suffer as it works to deal with what is ingested. Anger, bitterness, depression, resentment are major toxins for the liver.
Often, anger, bitterness, depression, resentment are the result of struggles experienced as we seek to connect with meaning and purpose in life.
If the anger is unacknowledged or unexpressed, the situation is only worse.
The goal is a life path encouraging a healthy liver which in turn encourages creativity, enthusiasm, strength.
Place your hands on your liver as you visualize detoxing it. As you hold your hands on your liver, think of ways to
destress your life,
release anger created by situations in your daily life,
remove anger causing situations from your life.
As you hold your hands on your liver, think of ways to
encourage harmony
increase your levels of peace as you go about your daily activities
become aware of the perfection in your life.
End this session now as you breathe deeply into your liver for a few minutes. When you breathe into your liver, honor the healing and regenerating that is occurring in your body at this moment.
When you breathe into your liver, appreciate that your liver can and will regenerate itself as you bring positive actions and thoughts into your life.

Spirituality of the Legs
Legs are very spiritual because they move us about in the world. We use our legs to stand, walk, run, dance, and move in general. As we move through life, our legs reflect our spiritual/emotional/physical state.
Sit in a public place for a while and watch people walk. They all have different gaits. Do you observe someone walking confidently down a hall? Is there someone taking uncertain steps?
When you observe the different gaits, ask yourself:
Is this person walking with an open or closed attitude?
Is a person moving in fear?
Is another person in pain?
Is there a purpose to a person’s stride?
Are the steps large or small?
Is someone stumbling?
As we move through life, our issues are reflected in our gait.
Relax comfortably for a few minutes. Take time to appreciate your legs and all they do for your body and for your spiritual development.
In the quiet of the moment, massage your legs as you meditate on how much your legs actually do for you.
Now, take a few moments to evaluate how your legs feel to you. Do they feel heavy, light, stuck, weak? Or, do they feel free, confident, supportive?
Talk to your legs now as you release them from all their burdens. Remove all negativity from your legs:
burdens,
obstacles,
fear,
anger,
limitations,
weakness.
As you massage your legs, focus on bringing warmth, positive feelings, and confidence to them. Offer them recognition and gratitude for all they do for you daily.
Offer appreciation for your legs.

The Spirituality of the Kidneys
The kidneys are emotional/spiritual body parts working to remove impurities and negativity from the body. We have 2 kidneys, one on each side of the body. This makes them important for balance. When things are unbalanced, negativity grows. Until the balance returns, the tendency is to hold on to the negativity. Think anger, bitterness, fear, resentment.
Kidneys support the adrenal glands which perch right on top of them. This close connection to the adrenals emphasizes the spirituality and emotional aspects of the kidneys. Because of the adrenal/kidney connection, fear plays a major part in imbalances. Operative words here are anger, grief, loss, panic, stress.
Kidneys respond almost immediately to
difficulties or stress in relationships.
an overabundance of negative energy which cannot be released
situations when the pressure to conform is overbearing.
When the kidneys are threatened, set aside a few minutes each day in which you speak to them. (Please note, these exercises may take a few conversations or many conversations. Each situation is different.)
Offer your kidneys encouragement to release all negativity from the body.
Ask your kidneys to work with your adrenals to support your efforts to forgive yourself and those around you for any and all mistakes. As you do this, you will be encouraging homeostasis, an important component in healthy kidneys.
When you feel you have meditated on these issues enough to be moving in the right emotional/spiritual direction, speak to your inner self about taking responsibility for your life so you can move forward with positive action.

Spirituality of the Hips
The hips offer balance and grounding as they connect the upper and lower parts of the body.
The bones of the hips are heavier and stronger than other bones because of all the activities performed in this part of the body:
give birth,
make love,
sit,
carry,
eliminate no longer needed food.
All of these actions revolve around security, survival, relationships. Very often, with issues around the hips, the person is wrestling with core beliefs.
When focusing on issues with the hips, we realize we are holding onto negativity from the past. Sometimes, we feel unable to stand on our own and unable to release problems of the past. The thing to do is let go of these issues.
So, get comfortable in a quiet place. Choose a place where you can feel safe, quiet, to be undisturbed for a short time.
Breathe into your hip area for a few minutes to ground yourself.
Hold your hands about 2-3 inches above your body as you slowly move your hands over your hip area . When you feel stuck energy or negativity, move your fingers in a counter clockwise direction over the stagnant energy.
The movement you want is that of opening a jar. When you move your hands in this direction you will release this energy from your body.
Encourage this negative energy to leave your hips so you can have a lighter, more positive environment for your spirituality to develop.
Repeat this exercise several times and then move on to another part of your hip area where the energy is stuck or stagnant.
When you feel as if you have discovered enough stagnant or stuck places on your hip area, begin to breathe in and breathe out into the now cleansed area.
Continue to breathe in and breathe out into your hip area for a couple of minutes more.
Now, rest quietly for a few moments until you are ready to continue with your day or take a nap.
It may be necessary to repeat this exercise several times before you feel you have cleansed all the stuck, stagnant energy from your hips.

The Spirituality of our Breasts
Breasts are very complex spiritual body parts. They aren’t complex because of their place on the body or because of what they do. They’re complex because of the ways we relate to a woman’s breast in our society.
Breasts have 2 primary jobs:
They are sexually attractive body parts.
They nurture the newborn baby.
Our culture has interesting attitudes about human breasts:
It’s all right for women to spend thousands of dollars to enhance the breasts…even though to do so means that breastfeeding one’s baby may possibly not happen because of the surgery.
It is all right for women to expose breasts in low cut dresses and bikinis.
It is not all right for a woman to feed her baby in any but a private space…even if both she and the baby are covered.
THE MESSAGE HERE IS THAT THE SEXUAL ROLE BREASTS GENERATE IS SOCIALLY ACCEPTABLE BUT THE NURTURING ROLE IS NOT. This message creates worry and apprehension in women. Women feel victimized, on some level, by society’s attitudes about breasts.
BREAST CANCER IS VERY COMMON AMONG WOMEN. Breast cancer is believed by many to be caused by hormones, chemicals, environmental toxins. All of those things may be true. But, it is also true that women often overextend themselves day after day for years. In short, women in our culture are depleting their spiritual tanks with no chance of refilling them anytime soon.
IT’S HARD TO NOURISH ONESELF AND OTHERS WHEN THE SPIRITUAL TANKS ARE DRY. When this happens over an extended period, something has to give. Often, that something is breast cancer.
In supporting the spirituality of your breasts, work to overcome the disconnection you feel from your own needs. Honor your fatigue. Address any feelings you have with victimhood.
Offer Reiki therapy to your breasts with the intention to heal and regenerate your body to maximum health and well being.
Focus on ways to nourish yourself so you can fill your spiritual tanks.

The Spirituality of the Bladder
The bladder is an emotional/spiritual part of your body which constantly expands or shrinks, based on how much urine is passing through your body.
As you adapt to changing life situations, it is sometimes difficult to respond to needs of the present. It’s hard to leave attachments to the past for unknown future conditions.
WHEN THIS HAPPENS, YOU MAY FIND THAT YOUR BLADDER REFLECTS YOUR FEELINGS WITH FREQUENT URINATION.
Incontinence often occurs if:
you are unable to adapt to new circumstances,
you find yourself in a hopeless situation,
you experience grief.
Bladder infections often occur in times of strong emotional change:
separation,
breakdown,
moving to a new community,
changing jobs.
Bladder infections are often the body expressing questions you cannot ask in any other way.
That is not to say that these issues don’t need medical attention…because they do. Bladder problems always need attention from a professional healthcare provider. When you have bladder issues, you are on some level asking yourself some serious questions.
Offer yourself Reiki therapy weekly for several sessions.
If you don’t know Reiki therapy, get a practitioner and make 6-8 regular appointments spanning about 2 months. Good forms of Reiki therapy for spiritual bladder issues include Usui, Jin Kei Do, or Lightarian. Set your intention when you receive these sessions to heal the spiritual issues in your life which are being expressed through your bladder problems.
Get regular reflexology sessions. Weekly sessions encourage homeostasis which bring calmness and grounding to both your physical/spiritual situation and emotions. They also work to boost allopathic medications. These 2 things are very important to your overall healing.

The Spirituality of the Arms
Arms are very important in our spiritual lives. We use our arms:
to hug people, as we share love.
to protect ourselves as we fold them across our hearts and lungs.
to manifest our creativity as we paint pictures, plant gardens, build buildings.
to mount attacks as we carry arms to battle.
to lift, carry, and move objects as well as ourselves through lives.
When we are having difficulty moving forward in life, we sometimes break or bruise our arms. They may become weak or tired. They may be stiff and painful. The bruise, break, or pain sometimes offers a respite from the difficult task at hand.
Arms work, essentially, with energy coming from the heart and out through the shoulders as they perform tasks to manifest our inner desires and needs.
One of the most healing things you can do for your arms is to massage each arm with the hand of the other arm. Begin above the elbow as you work your way down to the hand. While massaging your arms, speak to them, offering support and love. Honor the work your arms do all day long everyday.
As you massage your arms, ask them what feelings are stuck in the muscles, tendons, connective tissue. Try to unearth and release any buried negative emotions.
After you have massaged each arm for a few minutes, feel the stress and tension leaving your body. Encourage it to leave through your fingertips.
Include some deep breaths focusing on releasing stress, tension, pain, density, stagnation, blockages.
Breathe in balance, calm, positive feelings.
As you exhale, work to release negative emotions keeping your arms from being calm and focused.
Repeat this massage/exercise for several minutes over a period of 5 consecutive days or until you begin to feel better.

The Spirituality of the Adrenal Glands
People sometimes have issues with the adrenal glands and are unable to identify them as needing balance.
A few tip offs include:
Fatigue
Having experienced so much stress and trauma that you are stuck in the fight-or-flight response.
Panic attacks.
Fear.
Anxiety.
We each have 2 adrenal glands. One is perched atop each kidney. Because there are 2, they come under the category of body parts needing balance. Other body parts needing balance include lungs, and kidneys.
Adrenals are very spiritual third chakra glands which we feel when we experience butterflies in our stomach. Adrenals are part of the endocrine system which also emphasizes their spiritual qualities. The adrenals process fear, anger, excitement and stress overload.,
If your your adrenals need to be balanced, go to a quiet, safe space where you will not be interrupted and get comfortable. Turn on some relaxing music if you like.
Breathe in deeply as you inhale calm. Breathe slowly – deeply – consciously.
As you exhale, breathe out anxiety.
Breathe in positive energy.
Exhale as you release fatigue.
Inhale peace.
As you exhale, let go of all your fears.
Inhale nurturing energy.
Release any panic you may feel as you exhale.
When you feel grounded, place your hands 1″ to 3″ above your body over the area of your adrenals. Hold your hands here for a couple of minutes as you give them a chance to communicate with your body in general and your adrenal glands in particular.
What information are you receiving? Do you feel tingling, heat, cold, nothing? Whatever you feel is good and appropriate for this time and place. Continue this communication for a few minutes until you feel it’s time to finish the session. Now, breathe deeply as you inhale and exhale several times.
The information you receive may not be apparent immediately. It may be several minutes, hours or days before you receive a message. You may receive the communication in a dream.
The important thing is to be open to receiving the information you need whenever and however it comes.
If possible, arrange to receive some Reiki therapy sessions focused on your adrenal health. In addition to Usui Reiki, 2 forms of Reiki appropriate for the adrenals are Lightarian and Gendai.
Essential Oils which work well for adrenal gland function include clove, frankincense, German chamomile, nutmeg, and spikenard.
Weekly Reflexology for the Spirit sessions will encourage homeostasis.

Forgiveness Meditation with Mary, Queen of Angels
Find a quiet place:
A room, or a corner of a room.
A garden.
A place in a park.
Any place where you can be quiet and relax.
Sit quietly as you feel tension leave your body. Feel it drain out of your fingertips and toes.
Take a few breaths. Breathe deeply as you inhale and then exhale.
Now, in your mind, take yourself to a meadow. Sit quietly on a rock located in this meadow. Look around you and notice all you see.
You have come to this meadow to learn to offer forgiveness. You’ve tried throughout your life to offer forgiveness at times when you feel you’ve been wronged. You’ve never felt truly successful in your efforts to forgive someone.
So, you are here today, sitting quietly on a rock located in a meadow.
A person comes to join you. You see Mother Mary, the Queen of Angels.
As she comes to join you, take note of how she looks. What color are her robes? What is her hair like? What does her face look like? Try to notice every detail.
She joins you to help you learn to forgive. Mary will remain with you as long as you need while she assists you in your efforts to forgive.
Mary is here to teach you…
without words,
without pictures…
how to be silent and learn to forgive.
Spend time with her in deep silence, meditating on teachings she offers you now. You know that, as the mother of Jesus, she experienced life events requiring serious forgiveness. Mary persevered. You feel now the experiences Mary had in her life which caused her to learn to live the act of forgiveness.
It’s not necessary to know anything about Mary in order to understand what she’s teaching you. It’s not necessary to be a Catholic, or a Christian even. Mary is recognized not only in Christian theology, but also in Orthodox and Muslim teachings. Mary’s story is universal, touching us all. Her life motivates us to all learn to forgive. Mary belongs to all of us…no matter what our religious beliefs.
When you feel that you have absorbed all you can at this time, you know it is best to go. You thank Mary, Queen of Angels for visiting with you and for teaching you to forgive.
You know Mary is here for you. Feeling gratitude, love, light, you know you can return to this meadow any time you need to visit with Mary again.
