A Sacred Second Chakra Meditation: Inner Peace, Security, and Self-Acceptance

This meditation is ideal for relaxation because it supports inner peace, security, and self-acceptance.

Relax and get comfortable in a calm location where you will not be disturbed for a few moments.

Take several slow, deep breaths.

With each inhale, imagine your breath energizing the area two inches below your navel.  Gently massage this point with two fingers.

With each exhale, imagine a small orange ball carrying fears, stress, and pain away.

Now, inhale deeply twice.  Breathe into a point about two inches below your navel.  Release this breath through your mouth.

Imagine you are lying on a beautiful, quiet boat which is just big enough for you.  There is no room for anyone or anything but yourself.

While you are lying on this boat in the middle of a beautiful pond, things are still and peaceful.  The pond has many flowers along the beach.   As you focus on them, you see they are various shades of orange,  and coral.

Let your body become heavy and relaxed as you get more comfortable on this tiny boat.

You feel the space, the peace, stillness.  Breathe into the stillness and the abundance of the flowers and the water in the pond.

The overhead sky has a warm, glowing light allowing you to feel beauty, peace, energy.

A gentle breeze moves your small boat along the edge of the pond into a gently flowing stream.. As you look above, you see billowing clouds with a faint orange and gold tint. They move lazily overhead.

The flowers and clouds protect you so you feel safe.

You feel warm and at peace.

Breathe into the peace and gentle energy of just being yourself.  Drifting down the stream, you relax even more and appreciate  the energy, the peace, the flowers and the clouds.

You realize you don’t have to do anything, just breathe and enjoy yourself.  As your boat gently drifts along, you feel warm.  This warmth is healing.  You feel quiet, peaceful.  You breathe in peace, health, relaxation.

As you breathe out, exhale anything you want to release.

It’s time to return to your body and become conscious of yourself.  Gently you move your fingers and toes to become more aware of returning to your location.

When you open your eyes, you remember the peace and energy you felt in the orange flowers and the orange-tinged clouds.

You know you can return to this place any time you want.

When you are ready, continue on with your activities.

Your Sleep Sanctuary

heart with wings

Better sleep includes getting enough sleep at night and  waking  gently in the morning.  That’s what alarm clocks and cell phone alarms are for.  Use them to remind you to begin to calm down in the evening and to gently wake you in the morning.

Sleep Encouraging  Techniques for you

As you journey down the path toward a better night’s sleep, don’t think of your bedroom as just a bedroom.  Think of it as your sleep sanctuary.

Some people report they get to sleep easier if they use a diffuser   with a lavender essential oil.  You may want to try this.  Lavender is one of the most popular and calming essential oils out there but not everyone likes it.

If you like lavender, you can use it knowing that studies find lavender essential oil improves your mood, decreases the heart rate, lowers the skin temperature and   blood pressure a bit.

A bonus here is that lavender is not one of the most expensive essential oils.  So, this may be an economical solution for you.

Do you have any plants in your bedroom?  If not, you may want to add one or two.  They purify the air as  they reduce mold,  filter toxins, release oxygen at night.  And, plants are fun to look at.

Lower Lighting is Important for a Good Night’s Rest.

As you prepare for sleep each night, lower the lights in your sleep sanctuary.  Bright lights  just before getting into bed can trick you into wakefulness.  You need light as you get ready for bed, but you just don’t need so much.

When You are Ready to go to Sleep, Turn out the Lights.

Then, when you get into your bed, set your intention.  My intention is always for a deep, healing, relaxing sleep so that I will wake up refreshed in the morning when it is time to get up.

Follow your intention with a short breathing exercise .

Begin this sleep breathing by getting comfortable in your bed.  Take a deep breath and hold it for an extra moment.  When you release this breath, focus on releasing  all tension and worries.  Blow them far away.  With the next breath, let go of any discomfort your body is holding.  With every exhale, focus on the word “relax”.

Breathe in peace…breathe out relax.

Hold your breath for a moment and then repeat:  Breathe in peace…breathe out relax.

Now, breathe in peace…breathe out relax.

Finally, enjoy your final peace breath and then breathe out relax.

The Sixth Chakra and Reflexology

DSCN0210

The sixth Chakra reflex point is located on the lower parts of the toe pads.  This is where the pituitary gland, eyes, and ears are located.

Sixth Chakra issues include

insight/denial

intuition

illusion/delusion

trust

visualization

psychic abilities

IT’S IMPOSSIBLE TO LEARN ABOUT SIXTH CHAKRA ISSUES WITHOUT QUESTIONING.

Am I able to see the bigger picture?

Can I see when my ego is in charge?

How can my life be better?

Can I make this happen?

Can I set aside time for self-reflection?

Do I know myself?

Am I blocking my creative ideas?

Are those around me blocking my creative thoughts?

Am I holding onto emotions which I should be releasing?

Am I gaining insight into myself?

Am I working to increase intuition?

Does my heart agree  with my mind?

Am I working to make life better?

Can I see the “bigger picture”?

Am I able to encourage intuitive dreams?

Am I able to encourage and manifest realities from visions?

Tuning into the conscious and subconscious mind is a sixth  Chakra issue.  There is a balance which needs to be achieved.    At one end of the line, we have a person whose mind functions on the rational level only.  When this happens, the person has difficulty visualizing things mentally and subtle communication is difficult to   understand.   This person also has trouble seeing opportunities offered by dreams or intuitive thoughts. The other end of the line is a person who lives in a fantasy and may be delusional.  When the sixth Chakra is is healthy, the person is able to balance the rational and the intuitive.

A balanced sixth Chakra is in tune with our senses as well as both the conscious and subconscious mind.  The sixth Chakra is then able to regulate the energy channels of the other Chakras.

As with the other Chakras, Reflexology for the Spirit Sessions offer homeostasis which balance all of the body systems.

Reiki therapy sessions balance the Chakras.  People with 6th Chakra issues respond positively to distant healing Reiki therapy sessions.

To help balance your sixth Chakra, take time to meditate on the ocean.  As you do this, you will be able to calm an overactive mind.  This encourages

peace

perception

understanding

concentration.

It will also encourage insight.  As people gain insight into themselves, they invite spiritual growth and development.

It’s easy to tell how centered the 6th Chakra is by observing a person’s eyes and ears.  Sight and hearing issues are related to 6th Chakra imbalances.  Other issues related to 6th Chakra imbalances include

insomnia and other sleep problems

frequent nightmares

feelings of despair

depression

When you work with your client partner’s 6th Chakra, you offer the opporunity to help him/her clear out past issues and problems to make way for the new life which is waiting.
