Headaches Can Be Spiritual Events – 8 Things to Do.

Regularly occurring headaches need to be checked by a medical professional. If you are having headaches, start a small headache diary. You need to be able to tell your healthcare professional the following information about your headaches:
where they occur on the head,
how long each headache lasts, how severe it is.
You need to be aware of the foods you are eating. Some people feel that two foods contributing to headaches are wheat and dairy products. If you feel food is a contributing factor, you can try totally avoiding wheat for six weeks and see what happens. After six weeks, try totally avoiding any dairy products for six weeks.
Keep a log of your feelings around a headache. There may be an emotional or behavioral component to your headaches.
What is your exercise level? People get headaches when they don’t get enough oxygen. Exercise brings oxygen into the blood and lungs.
Are you an over achiever? Over achievers have more headaches than their regular achieving buddies.
Are you spending too much time thinking, creating, talking, contemplating? This can sometimes create headaches.
The bottom line here is that people who spend time exercising as well as thinking seem to have fewer headaches.
The spiritual component to headaches is, most often, fear. If you are suffering from headaches and there doesn’t seem to be a physical cause, try to accept yourself positively. Try to move forward into the future.
By all means, reflexology for the spirit practitioners, encourage your headache sufferers to receive reflexology regularly. Regular sessions encourage homeostasis and relieve stressed muscles.
Beyond a certain point, all headaches have a strong muscular component which must be dealt with if the pain is to go away.

Forgetfulness Is One Issue Which Reflexologists Can Address.

Memory loss is experienced at one time or another by everyone. It is most often brought on by stress, exhaustion, or the inability to concentrate.
Memory loss is also experienced as we age.
Regular visits to the Reflexology for the Spirit practitioner’s table can definitely help because of the grounding factor. Homeostasis always helps one’s memory. And, of course, it’s difficult to have regular sessions and still be bothered by stress, exhaustion, etc.
One of the most important things a person can do to avoid forgetfulness is get a small diary type calendar and use it. Recognizing the need for this type of calendar is a big event in people’s lives and they all hate it. However, a well kept calendar that is referred to daily can save many an embarrassing moment.
The same goes for keys.
WORK THE FOLLOWING SYSTEMS WHEN ADDRESSING FORGETFULNESS: Work the endocrine system with emphasis on the pituitary gland reflex, the thyroid and parathyroid gland reflexes, the nervous system with emphasis on the brain reflexes. Work the solar plexus and liver.

Reflexology Blog – Menopause: Many See This as a Disease. For me, Menopause is a Rite of Passage

Actually, there is not that much known about menopause.
Menopause is a strong spiritual event in a woman’s life. Many women in our culture experience, in addition to the physical symptoms, a fear of no longer being wanted. They face fears of aging. They experience self-rejection. They feel that they are no longer good enough…whatever that means.
Menopause is a time to honor yourself, your body, your life. It is a time to bless yourself and encourage love.
Honor your inner goddess! You have now graduated. You are a crone.
You now have an opportunity to become a respected elder. Go Girl!
SYSTEMS TO WORK WHEN OFFERING REFLEXOLOGY FOR THE SPIRIT SESSIONS TO WOMEN EXPERIENCING MENOPAUSE: Focus on the endocrine system, the most spiritual system in the body. Also work the muscular system, the liver and the solar plexus. These sessions will encourage homeostasis, a very important part of one’s health

Reflexology Blog: Sciatica is an Inflammation With a Spiritual Foundation.

Sciatica is an inflammation of the sciatic nerve caused by injury, constipation, cold temperatures, arthritis.
There is a spiritual component to sciatica. There are safety issues involved here as there are in all lower back afflictions. Persons suffering with sciatica have a fear of moving forward into the future. Core beliefs are also in question.
Persons suffering with sciatica often have a tendency to impose limitations on themselves. And, of course, money is involved. Sciatica is often slow to repair.
Your client partner may need to also visit a physician, physical therapist, massage therapist, chiropractor, or other health care professional. Sometimes healing takes time in addition to everything else tried. Homeostasis works on its own clock…even with reflexology for the spirit. But don’t give up.
WORK THE FOLLOWING SYSTEMS WHEN ADDRESSING SCIATICA: Endocrine system with emphasis on the adrenal gland reflexes, digestive system with emphasis on the intestinal reflexes, the spine reflexes, hip, thigh, and leg reflexes, and the sciatic nerve reflexes. Finish the session with the liver and solar plexus.

Reflexology blog: Fatigue is a Symptom Not to be Ignored.

Fatigue is one of the most important symptoms a human can have. Whenever your client partner complains of fatigue, please don’t ignore the remark. Try to get him/her to visit a health care professional who is not going to blow this symptom off. A good healthcare professional will take this seriously.
Feelings of chronic tiredness may be due to such things as overwork, poor nutrition, stress, and illness. There are many diseases for which fatigue is the first thing felt.
Fatigue is a normal response to physical overexertion, long term emotional stress, sleep deprivation, viral or bacterial infection, endocrine disease, cardiovascular disease, or neurological disease.
Fatigue is also a spiritual response. People respond, on a spiritual level, to boredom, resistance and lack of love. One thing that can help…whatever the cause of fatigue…is to learn to become enthusiastic about something.
Homeostasis is a good goal when working with fatigue sufferers.
WHEN OFFERING REFLEXOLOGY FOR THE SPIRIT SESSIONS TO A PERSON SUFFERING WITH FATIGUE, WORK THE FOLLOWING SYSTEMS:
nervous system focusing on the brain reflexes, respiratory system focusing on the lung reflexes, circulatory system focusing on the heart reflex, work the liver and the solar plexus, and, finally, finish the session by working the adrenal gland reflexes.

So, you actually have two lists here. The first list is the list of food which are good for your nervous system.
The second list is the list of foods which are considered to be most nutritious foods on that list.
Please let me know if having the two lists is too complicated. After all, there’s no sense in offering information if it can’t be used.
IMPROVEMENTS TO BE EXPECTED FROM REFLEXOLOGY FOR THE SPIRIT SESSIONS TO THE NERVOUS SYSTEM INCLUDE:
Regular Reflexology for the Spirit sessions create a strong feeling of wellbeing. Over time, they also promote mental function.

Reflexology Blog – 22 Essential Oils to Use When Working the Nervous System

Appropriate oils for the nervous system include basil, black pepper, cardamom, cedarwood, clarity, clove, eucalyptus radiate, fennel, frankincense, ginger, helichrysum, juniper, lavender, marjoram, myrrh, patchouli, peppermint, rose, rosemary, sage, valerian, ylang ylang.
When selecting an essential oil for a specific issue, it’s important to consider the entire person: physical, mental, emotional, spiritual. Although essential oils can be very powerful therapies in and of themselves, it’s important to realize that they are not the total solution. Essential oils work best when combined with other therapies.
A first step in encouraging homeostasis is to cleanse the body. A colon cleanse followed by a liver cleanse will often take care of the problem itself.
People trying to address health issues should include proper diet, exercise, supplements, meditation/yoga, and working to achieve a stress free lifestyle.
Efforts should be made to rebuild and nourishing the intestinal system as well as remineralizing the blood and tissues.
When using essential oils, it’s always important to increase fluid intake because essential oils often accelerate the detoxification process. Without adequate hydration, toxins begin to recirculate in the body and cause nausea, headaches, etc.
If your client partner experiences a reaction to an essential oil, temporarily discontinue it use and start an internal cleansing program.

What Are The Risk Factors?

As a Reflexology for the Spirit practitioner, it’s helpful to know the risk factors experienced by your client partners by age category. Beyond that, it’s helpful if you can determine the personal health risks as well. Once you and your client partners know their health risks, you can work with them to develop strategies to improve their health and increase their longevity. Reflexology for the Spirit can be an important part of this strategy!
For the Under-45 age group, the biggest risk is injury: accidents, homicide, and suicide. The most important things your client partners in this category can do is avoid accidents. Depression should be taken seriously. Violent relationships should be avoided or terminated.
Your young client partners have an opportunity to begin good lifestyle habits: avoid excessive sun exposure, exercise regularly, don’t smoke, learn to deal with stress.
For the 45-54 age group, your clients should be on the lookout to prevent cancer, heart disease, and accidents. This is the age category to begin health screenings: cancer, cholesterol, blood sugar.
Lifestyle habits include not smoking, keeping the weight down, driving carefully, and managing stress.
In the 55-64 age group, the biggest diseases are cancer, heart disease, lung diseases, and diabetes.
If you began to smoke somewhere along the line, this is the time to quit. Keep the weight down. Get your annual health screenings: cholesterol, blood pressure, blood sugars.
For the 65-74 age category, look out for cancer, heart disease, lung diseases, stroke.
Continue seeing your healthcare provider regularly. This is the time in your life to make efforts to stay connected to your community.
For those aged 75-84, the big diseases are cancer, stroke, lung disease, and diabetes. The motto here: Use it or Lose it!
If you are 85 or older, the diseases of concern are heart disease, cancer, stroke, Alzheimer’s, influenza, and pneumonia. In this category, work to keep up your strength and keep your gait stable. Avoid overmedication.
Being healthy takes work – no matter what the age may be.
In all of these areas spirituality is a major factor. Our attitudes toward our spirituality change with each decade and with major life events.
Thanks again for reading this blog post. Reflexology works with the diseases and issues discussed here. Reflexology for the Spirit sessions encourage homeostasis, an important part of one’s wellness. Reflexology for the Spirit also addresses the spiritual person – an important element often omitted.
I did a lot of research for this and want to especially thank Dr. Kendall Judge, M.D.

Want to Stay Healthy? Treat Yourself to a Power Breakfast Everyday

And, what might be a power breakfast?
Starting your day each day with a bowl of oatmeal can add years to your life.

When you begin your day with oatmeal, you’ll have energy for hours before feeling hungry. And, more than that, oatmeal is packed with nutrients that fight disease.
Some nutritionists believe that oatmeal has powerful anti-cancer antioxidents.
Heart specialists believe that oatmeal contains chemicals that stop blood vessels from sticking to your artery walls, thus helping prevent the onset of heart disease. Oatmeal is also believed to reduce the need for blood pressure medication as well as reduce cholesterol levels.
Diet and fitness experts claim that oatmeal fights obesity because people who eat it for breakfast experience less hunger throughout the day.
Diabetes specialists love oatmeal because it is a slowly digested food, thus reducing the need for insulin.
Gastroenterologists love oatmeal because it’s a good source of probiotics – the fighters of toxic bacteria in our colon.
Longevity specialists believe that anyone wanting to live longer should eat oatmeal regularly.
All these claims made by health professionals make oatmeal a miracle food!
People really like oatmeal because there are many ways to dress it up each morning:
You can put a couple of tablespoons of yogurt on the top of a serving.
Drizzle honey on the top of the oatmeal.
Flavor your oatmeal with cinnamon or grated nutmeg.
Serve your oatmeal the “warrior way” with dried apricots and nuts.
But, however you enjoy your oatmeal…the important thing is just to enjoy a serving of it every day.
