A Sacred Second Chakra Meditation: Inner Peace, Security, and Self-Acceptance

This meditation is ideal for relaxation because it supports inner peace, security, and self-acceptance.

Relax and get comfortable in a calm location where you will not be disturbed for a few moments.

Take several slow, deep breaths.

With each inhale, imagine your breath energizing the area two inches below your navel.  Gently massage this point with two fingers.

With each exhale, imagine a small orange ball carrying fears, stress, and pain away.

Now, inhale deeply twice.  Breathe into a point about two inches below your navel.  Release this breath through your mouth.

Imagine you are lying on a beautiful, quiet boat which is just big enough for you.  There is no room for anyone or anything but yourself.

While you are lying on this boat in the middle of a beautiful pond, things are still and peaceful.  The pond has many flowers along the beach.   As you focus on them, you see they are various shades of orange,  and coral.

Let your body become heavy and relaxed as you get more comfortable on this tiny boat.

You feel the space, the peace, stillness.  Breathe into the stillness and the abundance of the flowers and the water in the pond.

The overhead sky has a warm, glowing light allowing you to feel beauty, peace, energy.

A gentle breeze moves your small boat along the edge of the pond into a gently flowing stream.. As you look above, you see billowing clouds with a faint orange and gold tint. They move lazily overhead.

The flowers and clouds protect you so you feel safe.

You feel warm and at peace.

Breathe into the peace and gentle energy of just being yourself.  Drifting down the stream, you relax even more and appreciate  the energy, the peace, the flowers and the clouds.

You realize you don’t have to do anything, just breathe and enjoy yourself.  As your boat gently drifts along, you feel warm.  This warmth is healing.  You feel quiet, peaceful.  You breathe in peace, health, relaxation.

As you breathe out, exhale anything you want to release.

It’s time to return to your body and become conscious of yourself.  Gently you move your fingers and toes to become more aware of returning to your location.

When you open your eyes, you remember the peace and energy you felt in the orange flowers and the orange-tinged clouds.

You know you can return to this place any time you want.

When you are ready, continue on with your activities.

September Solstice – a Time to Focus on Wellness and Healing for Ourselves and Our Planet

The September Solstice is a time to promote wellness and healing throughout the planet.  Please take a moment to dwell on a planet where all beings experience wellness and coexist in honor and support.

Visualize a world where all beings experience positive renewal and growth as wellness and healing become real.  Get to know all the wonderful opportunities in your world for growth and hope throughout our planet.

As the planet goes into its next phase, support your spirit and encourage healing and wellness to all plants and animals on earth.  Make a place for yourself during this time to encourage spiritual growth.

Think of ways you can invite universal balance in your life.  Think of how you fit into your day, into your world, into your goals.

Check in with yourself to give support to your spirit.  Focus on a world where everyone  works together  with respect and harmony in support of all needs.

Guided Meditations: 3 Ways They Change Your LIfe – Awaken, Transform, and Heal

Guided meditations  awaken, transform, heal.  Guided meditations are change agents.

But, whether a meditation awakens, transforms, or heals, it points you inward to your own strength.  This is a direction which benefits us all.  Many people focus outward for strength.  They search for persons, actions, or objects when the goal they seek is right at home, within themselves.

I’ve used guided meditations to begin reflexology, Reiki therapy, chakra healing, massage sessions.  I’ve also used them to end sessions.  They are effective when you need action.

Guided meditations  help classroom situations.  If I feel my students are nervous or out-of-sorts in some way, I use a guided meditation.

Guided meditations are essential for Reiki attunements,  and for any situation  when a person needs to listen, rest, be still, and learn new ways to be and do.

I think we’re going to do many new things in the near future.  Listening, resting, and being still  are all  prerequisites to  embracing a new life.

Guided meditations help a person understand  a new reality more deeply.  For me, this pandemic offers each  of us a new reality.  A door is opening for us.

Guided meditations are good with grieving and overcoming fear.  And thanks giving.  And loving.

By now, you know  I turn to guided meditations at every opportunity.

Guided meditation open doors of higher consciousness  leaving the past behind.  These open doors awaken us  to answers which our inner spirits hold.

When we wake our higher consciousness, we  transform our lives, improve the quality of our lives and tap more deeply into the higher self.

Transformation facilitates change.  Put plainly and simply,  transformation encourages calm, serenity, grounding.

The transformation provided by a guided meditation  helps reduce stress, headaches, chronic pain.

A guided meditation focusing on healing can be a form of prayer.  It taps into what your unlimited higher self  can offer.

In the midst of this pandemic, a guided meditation can help you release tension, anger, fear, anxiety, and other illness-causing emotions.

A guided meditation focusing on healing will lead you to your inner strength.  It will encourage you to become more comfortable with the new reality this pandemic may produce for you.

Current events throughout our planet convince me we are all on the brink of everything.  The future awaits.   A guided meditation focusing on healing will allow you to let go and enjoy the goodness to come.

A guided meditation can allow your to love yourself.  When this happens, you will have a powerful healing tool.  This can encourage your fearlessness.

The next post will focus on how to create your own guided meditations to use in whatever situation you need.

Your Liver, Your Life and 2020 – 10 Liver-Friendly Tips

We’re just fresh into the new year.  2020 is here!

For many of us, the new year brings intestinal and liver cleanses encouraging the good health resolution we always make.  Both in my wellness book and my blog posts, I refer to cleanses.

What better time is there for a cleanse than now – in January of the new year?

I always recommend an intestinal cleanse before the liver cleanse.  Actually, the two cleanses are partners working together for your good health.

STEP ONE is an intestinal cleanse designed to detox  your digestive system.  When your intestinal tract is clean, you will feel better, have more energy, and be more alert.  But, a key  purpose of this intestinal cleanse is to prepare you to detox your     liver.

If you detox your liver before cleaning  your intestinal tract, you may overload your digestive system.  The result may not leave you feeling better, more alert, and energetic.

So, the best way to go is to detox your intestinal tract first.

STEP  TWO is a liver detox.  With a clean intestinal tract, the toxins will leave your body much easier.

When you think about your liver and what it does, it only makes sense to have a liver cleanse last.

Your liver is your body’s largest and most complex organ.   Some textbooks describe the tasks your liver performs in the hundreds.  How can one organ in the body do all the things it’s supposed to do?  Your liver processes your food nutrients, removes contaminents, stores minerals and vitamins, regulates blood clotting.  On top of the many things your liver does, it regenerates itself.

Your liver is vital to your health and wellbeing.

So, your liver should thank you for giving it a detox.

And, after your  detox, your liver should  easily and effectively process all the things you put in your body.  What can you do after your detox to help keep it in good running order?

There are several things you can do which will help your liver function better…especially if you have health issues affecting  your liver.

ENJOY A CUP OR TWO OF COFFEE.  Caffeine is good for your liver.

LOW-FAT FOODS.   Avoid saturated and trans fats which don’t go well with a fatty liver.

SKIP THE SUGAR.  Now that the holidays are over, it’s time to eat few to no sweets.

GET THE SALT OUT.  Too much salt in your diet contributes to high blood pressure which is hard on your liver.

EAT MORE FRUITS AND VEGGIES.  These foods offer a variety of vitamins and minerals which are easier to digest than the supplements themselves.

GO FOR WHOLE GRAINS.  Brown rice, beans, whole grain breads are preferred.

WATER, WATER, WATER EVERYWHERE.  Drink a lot of water…everyday.

SKIP RAW FISH AND MEATS.  Your goal is to avoid introducing harmful bacteria to your liver.

SKIP THE ALCOHOL.  If you have health issues, alcohol is too stressful on your body.

So, there you have it.   I truly hope this list will help you and your whole body health maintenance in the coming year.  These tips are all liver-friendly.  Your liver is important to your overall health – every day.

Winter Solstice Meditation – December 21, 2018

On December 21st,  the  date of the annual Winter Solstice, please take a moment wherever you are to join in with all mankind to focus  on a vision  of peace and healing for all beings on Planet Earth.

December 21st is the day when all beings on Planet Earth begin again  with  annual re-birth.  All beings on Planet Earth honor the turning point of the year.  We use our new energy for peace and healing throughout the planet.

In celebration of this annual Winter Solstice Meditation, find a quiet place where you feel safe and can focus on the annual renewal of all beings on Planet Earth.

As you get calm, focus on the re-birth happening all around us all.

May the collective energy of all living beings join together in love and gratitude and use our newly reborn energy for peace and harmony in all lives on the Planet Earth.

With the celebration of this year’s Winter Solstice, may all beings on Planet Earth know we are connected and may we all work together with mutual respect and harmony.

May all beings focus on  the continuing deepening and understanding offered by the re-birth of the Planet Earth through the Winter Solstice.

With the Winter Solstice, may all beings on Planet Earth join together in focusing on spiritual healing for all living things.

Encourage your breathing to become centered and grounded.  Breathe in a breath  composed of  positive healing,  love, understanding, and respect for all beings on Planet Earth.

As you exhale, let go of all things negative.  Release all feelings of negativity which may possibly impact your life and that of your loved ones in the coming year.

As you inhale, focus on positive aspects of your life which you can improve during the coming year.

Exhale to release all feelings of negativity which may not support the rebirth offered by the Winter Solstice.

With this meditation, breathe in centering and grounding feelings which will benefit all living beings on earth.

Visualize a healed planet.  Visualize a clean, uplifting environment for all beings on our earth.  See a glorious sphere .  There is radiant blue water.  The lands have no borders.  All beings traveling do so in perfect harmony on a perfect path.

When it is time for you to leave this place of perfection and serenity, you may choose to bring this feeling of peace back with you to the outer world.

Return to your surroundings now.  Be awake, alert, and feel wonderful…in perfect peace where you are.
