Who Should Receive Reflexology for the Spirit?
The short answer here is almost everyone. Reflexology for the Spirit is safe for people of all ages.
Because Reflexology for the Spirit brings balance on physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual levels through homeostasis, it’s a wonderful tool to be used in our everyday lives.
Babies respond very well to short, gentle sessions. this is a great way to bond with your little loved ones.
Children respond well also. Sessions with children are shorter than they are for adults. (Children’s feet are much smaller.) Children are more receptive to Reflexology for the Spirit when they learn that it helps their sniffles, etc.
Women are wonderful recipients of Reflexology for the Spirit. The balancing effects of the sessions help women with their cycles and offer support in the perimenopausal years. For women, Reflexology for the Spirit is a practical wellness tool when used to help their family and friends. Many everyday health issues faced in a family can be improved with regular sessions. Reflexology also offers women the relaxation they need to get through a stressful week in their lives.
Men are especially appreciative of Reflexology for the Spirit. Many men are in professions that stress their shoulders, hands, feet, legs, etc.
Many chronic illnesses and conditions can be balanced out and minimized or eliminated through regular Reflexology for the Spirit sessions which encourage homeostasis.
Seniors love Reflexology for the Spirit because it offers improved circulation, pain relief, better sleep, etc. Reflexology for the spirit also offers something that many seniors need: the healing power of touch.

Who Shouldn’t Receive a Session, and Why (Contraindications) Part 1 of 2
Cancer Patients
Reflexology for the Spirit is wonderful for cancer patients. It’s now offered in many hospitals throughout the country. However, patients receiving chemotherapy shouldn’t receive reflexology for 48 hours after the end of a chemotherapy session. This is for your protection. The theory is that the patient is toxic for 48 hours after receiving chemotherapy. If you decide to offer a session to a patient in less than 48 hours, please wear gloves.
Pregnant Women
Women in the first trimester of pregnancy experiencing an unstable pregnancy should not receive reflexology. Nothing is more wonderful than a reflexology session offered to a woman who is in her 7th month of pregnancy and has not seen her feet for a couple of months and still has 2 months to go. The rule is to avoid offering reflexology in the first trimester and stay on the bottom of the feet when you offer sessions thereafter. If you have any concerns, switch to Reiki therapy. Reiki therapy is wonderful for pregnant women at any stage of pregnancy.
With a regular Reiki therapy client, you can offer sessions weekly and can offer to go with your client partner into the labor and delivery stages of the birth process. Then, of course, you have two clients.
Clients with Infectious Diseases
Infectious disease and/or fever sufferers should not receive Reflexology for the Spirit for your protection. To offer a session to someone in a contagious condition, consider some options: gloves, mask, etc.
Severe Congestive Heart Failure
This is a good time to use your Reiki therapy skills.
Gangrene
Gangrene occurs when a person’s cells begin to die in a particular place when there is no circulation in a certain place in the body. Gangrene is fairly rare but can be seen in cases of advanced diabetes. This situation requires a physician’s attention.
Thanks for reading today’s post. We will conclude the Contraindication Section in the next post. If you have any questions or comments, please contact me.

Reflexology for the Spirit is an Attitude, Part 2
Although there are stories about people receiving one Reflexology for the Spirit session and going away a changed person, this outcome is the exception to the rule. Generally speaking, several (or many) sessions are needed before the client partner undergoes the changes necessary to bring about healing from the soul out. reflexology, spiritual or regular, is a process, not a pill.
It’s not the place of a reflexologist to provide therapy to a person who has not tried to resolve his/her health issues by visiting a qualified healthcare professional. Reflexologists are not trained to provide services to clients who have not yet received a diagnosis from the primary medical care professional.
Diagnosis is important for the healing process. A person cannot heal without having a name for a disease or condition.
People with issues, who don’t get a diagnosis, never really know what their problem is. Also, their peers never give the person or the condition/disease the credibility it deserves. So, the first step to wellness is a diagnosis.
When a person under the care of a physician comes for regular (or sporadic) sessions s/he needs to continue with whatever meds and/or therapy which has been prescribed by the MD.
This is especially true if your client suffers with cancer, diabetes, heart disease, etc.
Reflexology for the Spirit practitioners work with the diagnosis provided by the health care professional while recognizing, honoring, and offering healing to the soul which is manifesting issues in the sole.

Heel Spurs – They Can Be Quite Painful
You aren’t going to offer lasting relief from heel spurs in one visit. However, with regular visits, you’ll see some real improvement. Heel spur sufferers tend to be resistant to both change and moving forward. Life events may be moving forward at an uncomfortable pace for your client partner.
AREAS TO WORK: Reflex the areas around the spur as well as the entire endocrine system, digestive system, lymphatics, nervous system, liver, solar plexus. Reiki therapy is appropriate here.
ESSENTIAL OILS: wintergreen, spruce, pine, Idaho balsam fir, helichrysum, peppermint.
The next post will offer information about indigestion.
Because there’s a little space here, I’m offering a peek at information which will be covered in future posts. We’ll cover contraindications, how Reflexology for the Spirit” works, practical applications. In short, we’ll be covering a lot of information you’ll want to know if you’re interested in reflexology.
Please contact me with any questions you may have.

When You Work Hammertoes, You May See a Real Change in the Person Extending Beyond the Feet.
Regular sessions can offer relief for persons suffering with hammertoes. This spiritual affliction is caused when a person is in a long tern situation where independent thought is being stifled. The person creates a protective shell with the curling toes. Hammertoes are sometimes seen with bunions. When you observe hammertoes, please work them early in the session.
When a person comes to you with hammertoes, you have a situation with the person’s feet and, indeed, life, that is probably not going to be cleared up in a week. It may take several weeks (at least) or months before any permanent change occurs. Your regular sessions during this time will offer the needed encouragement and support so that change will occur.
AREAS TO WORK: Work the toes so they are encouraged, and allowed to straighten. This translates to working the neck areas, the brain, the sinuses, and doing a lot of warm ups and warm downs focusing on the toes and the neck ridge. This carries an extra importance because hammertoes can sometimes be caused by a chronic lack of oxygen. Include the nervous system, skeletal system, muscular system, lymphatics, digestive system, liver and solar plexus.
ESSENTIAL OILS: Idaho balsam fir, douglas fir, cypress, vetiver, Frankincense, lavender, geranium, palo santo, myrrh, patchouli, pine, rosewood, sage, or white fir.
The next post will focus on heel spurs.
The list of spiritual afflictions which respond to Reflexology for the Spirit sessions is very, very long. If you want to see a particular issue highlighted in this section of the blog, please contact me and I’ll add that one to the list.
When we complete the section of the book covering how to work spiritual afflictions, we’ll go on to cover a variety of subjects dealing with all aspects of your practice as a Reflexology for the Spirit practitioner.
Thank you for reading this blog post. It is being written in my healing space in Woodstock, NY.

Foot Pain is Definitely a Valid Reason to Visit a Reflexology for the Spirit Practitioner
Providing relief to tired, itchy, painful feet can significantly help your clients. Often, temporary pain can be dealt with quickly.
Other times, there is persistent, chronic pain eventually proving itself to have spiritual origins. To determine whether a foot pain is a spiritual affliction, your client partner needs to visit a podiatrist for a diagnosis. Then you can proceed to deal with the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual problems afflicting the person.
How the spiritual affliction affects your client depends on
what part of the foot is in pain.
For example, if your client has pain in the area of the heart (metatarsal area), look for a problem with a relationship or the ability to give and receive love.
If the pain is in the heel, you’re looking at an issue dealing with basic survival as it relates to the community and you are also looking at core values.
On a more general level, consider that the person is having trouble moving forward in life. Sometimes it’s important to give some things up in order to get to a new place. Many people have trouble with the “giving up” part. Sometimes they have such problems with “giving up” that they never get to a new place. Other times, they suffer great pain but, in the end, manage to move forward.
In some instances, foot pain may be indicative of another disease or health problem. For example, people suffering with flu may have very sore feet. Also, people with extreme mental or emotional issues may have feet that are too sore to touch. When you encounter this situation, be sure to include Reiki therapy and change your approach to hand or ear reflexology.
SYSTEMS TO WORK: Until you determine that there are underlying physical issues, work the nervous system, skeletal system, muscular system, endocrine system, digestive system, liver and solar plexus.
ESSENTIAL OILS: peppermint, white fir, lavender, patchouli, myrrh, frankincense, sandalwood, and vetiver.
Thank you for reading this blog. Tomorrow’s post will focus on Hammertoes. Please send a comment if you have any questions.
Peace and food for all. This blog is coming to you from my healing space in Woodstock, NY.

More About Allergies and Reflexology for the Spirit
Be aware of the products used to clean the home, pets, car, and workplace. Products should be used that come under the category of “hypoallergenic”. It won’t do much good to wash sheets and blankets in hot water with a detergent containing scents and coloring that create allergic reactions.
Finally, your client partner needs to try to resolve issues with persons causing problems. Your client partner will then have more energy to deal with the other allergens in life.
Often, it’s necessary to use the services of an otolaryngologist and an allergist as well. Desensitizing treatments can be very effective for persons suffering with contact allergies. One tried and true natural method is allergy shots.
This may seem like a lot to do. But, over time, a better quality of life will emerge. The purchase of over-the-counter preparations to deal with constant allergy symptoms will decrease. Life will, hopefully, improve.
AREAS TO WORK: respiratory system, immune system, sinuses, digestive system, endocrine system, liver and solar plexus.
ESSENTIAL OILS: German or Roman chamomile, wintergreen, lavender.
That completes the section on allergies. Our next section will be on ankle breaks and sprains – both very spiritual events.
Thanks for reading this blog.

More About What is Reflexology for the Spirit
What is Reflexology for the Spirit? In this post, we will offer more information about Reflexology for the Spirit, This should give you an in depth understanding of what Reflexology for the Spirit is all about.
Reflexology for the Spirit practitioners include spiritual observations as they manifest in the feet. They’re found:
in the different colors seen on the feet,
the locations of corns,
callouses,
bunions,
broken bones, etc.
What is Reflexology for the Spirit? Although the results of a reflexology session can be felt throughout the body, it’s not massage. Instead, practitioners manipulate the tissues of the hands, feet, and/or ears only.
An important goal of Reflexology for the spirit is Homeostasis.
Homeostasis is the return to balance of the entire body.
Encourage your client partners to schedule appointments within 1-2 days of other treatments they are receiving.
For example: if your client partner has a visit to the chiropractor,
physical therapist,
acupuncturist,
massage therapist,
or a yoga class,
please try to have him/her schedule an appointment with you within 24-48 hours before or after. This is the way to get the most value for your health care dollars. With Reflexology for the Spirit, 1 + 1 = 3.
Beginning with the next posts, we will highlight some:
specific conditions,
diseases/issues,
and treatments.
We will explain how Reflexology for the Spirit practitioners address the whole person. The next posts will be your tool box, Refer to them often.

Important Info You May Not Find Elsewhere
Reflexology is one of the world’s most enduring and non-invasive therapies. Reflexology sessions offer a method of reflexing energy points in the feet (or hands). These sessions bring healing results to many parts of the body at the same time. And, these sessions usually take no more than an hour.
The principle behind reflexology is that the entire body is mapped out on the feet. Important information for us: points on the feet relate to every area with a corresponding part in the body. Reflexing these points opens up pathways for healing to begin.
The spiritual aspect relates to the deeper component where the client’s emotions are found. They are the basis of medical issues or illness. They are also a manifestation of them. They can be liberated by this work. One can certainly be a reflexologist who does the mechanical work without focusing on the spiritual aspect, There are many of them.
Important information is that something changes in the hands-on experience of the session when the practitioner’s intention is to wake up the spiritual center. When that happens, the practitioner and the client-partner work together as a team. As the intention is released the client-partner finds inner spirit. In that release comes peace and homeostasis, a word you’ll find again and again in this blog.
In the next post, I’ll continue sharing important information with you.
