Getting to Know the Tower

The Tower is dreaded and often misunderstood.  You’ve been stopped on the spot and are now in the midst of  huge shift. It’s time to change the way you have been living.

When some kind of upheaval or collapse from an outside source occurs, you have a chance to rebuild your life.  This event, while disturbing or even traumatic, is your opportunity to change.  While you cannot avoid the event, you have been given a gift to move on to a better place.

Know this:  The system, building, or relationship that collapsed wasn’t working very well to begin with.

Look at it this way:  The disaster you’re looking at is no longer sustainable.    This event was coming.  For all the confusion and stress, you are at a moment in time of liberation.  Go for it.

Trust this:  Your event is happening for a reason. Bring on the resurrection!

Because this is a moment of awakening, take a few days to figure out the best way to move forward.

It’s time to find your new place – either physically or spiritually or both  – if progress is a goal.

You may think you’ll never recover – but you will.  Think of it this way:  You’ve just been liberated.  Caution have been thrown to the winds and your boundaries are exploded.

This is your time of personal development, happiness, and spiritual growth.

Accept this powerful event.  The benefits are real even though you don’t yet understand them.   It’s time to rebuild!  Align and stay in the present tense.

Story

About the time Nixon plotted Watergate, my husband Tony found, and married a really cute little nineteen-year-old in a whirlwind romance.  When this happened, I was upset.

After a few weeks, I realized I was young and felt my daughters and I would be better off in Texas anyway.  I put Jennette, Michele, and myself and the clothes on our backs aboard a green bus carrying people, chickens, and pigs.  And, actually, it was pretty easy to leave the cook books, the furniture, and china behind.  We headed for San Antonio, Texas, and I never looked back.  In Laredo, we switched to an American bus without the farm animals.

While I packed my daughters off to Texas, my Mexican in-laws rejoiced.  They had a few parties to celebrate my departure.  After all, I just wasn’t the right person for them.  I didn’t drink enough and didn’t gamble at all.

And, in my heart of hearts, I never figured a Mexican divorce to be worth the paper it was printed on.  Why should I even bother?

Decades later, I look back on this phase of my life and believe I did the right thing.  I brought my daughters back to Texas and raised them as Americans.  This was important to me and was probably my primary reason for returning home.

Energetic Balance

In the midst of a Tower event, check in with yourself.  Ask yourself:  How are you doing?  This is also a good time to practice some slow, relaxing, rejuvenating yoga.  The idea is to keep your muscles calm.  Take yourself outside every day, even for a few short breaths.

Meditation

Go to your safe, private meditation place.  Sit in a comfortable place where you keep your spine straight, and your shoulders relaxed.  Your feet make contact with the earth, and allow the chair to support your body.

Close your eyes.  Focus on your breath. Begin to relax as you breathe in and out.  Observe your breath as you inhale and exhale.

You inhale and exhale more deeply.  As this happens, your breathing becomes deeper, slower.

As you inhale and exhale, move your breath to focus on other body parts.  As your breathing moves to different body parts, you find tension. Wherever you find this tension, exhale the stress.

As your attention moves to your arms and hands, you inhale in appreciation for all they do.

Your arms and hands relax.

As you focus your attention on your shoulders and neck, they relax.  Breathe in appreciation and breathe out stress.

Take a few in-and-out breaths as you enjoy this relaxation.

Focus now on your chest area. Inhale gratitude for your heart and lungs.  Exhale stress, tightness.

Move on to your abdomen.  Encourage it to soften.  Exhale deeply as this happens.

Notice your buttocks now.  Breathe in relaxation.  Allow toxins to release.  .

Send gratitude to your legs, thighs, knees, lower legs, ankles.  Appreciate the work they do today as they carry you where you need to go.

Focus on your feet and toes now.  Send gratitude to the many bones and muscles in your feet and toes.  Acknowledge the support they give and the work they do.

Encourage your breath to scan your body, removing any tension that remains.    Let each breath relax you more and more.

Finally, focus on your mind and emotions.  Notice your burdens:  your activities, your work, your errands, your cares.  As you exhale deeply, allow them to dissipate and disappear.

Send these burdens on their way.

You are in your present moment now.  You are in the here and now.  You feel lighter, refreshed, relaxed.  Your body and mind feel free now.

Take a few inbreaths and outbreaths now.  Move gently now.  Let your body stir.

Open your eyes now.  Look around.

You are now ready to  move on in this day.

Celebrate!

Can you take time today to honor the end of a cycle?.  This is your opportunity to acknowledge your achievements.  It’s also time to explore the spiritual meaning of your life.

This is your celebration because today’s feelings can come only from the inside out.  You won’t get there waiting for someone else to create your happiness for you.

Because happiness comes from within, this is a good time to know and honor a fact of life:  You are the one who brings gratitude and generosity into your life every single day.

How?

Focus on those you love.  Share your heart energy today and every single day.  This is where you find happiness.

you manifested this moment.  This is your own success story.

DO THIS:

Journal a conversation with your inner child.  Explore something you might not have understood in the past.  Offer love and affection to your inner child now.  Explain your feelings.  You are complete as you are.

What do you expect to happen in the future?

Now, lay your hands on your journal and send it love and peace in the moment.

MEDITATION:

Go to a safe, secluded and comfortable space.  Sit in a comfortable chair.

Allow yourself to relax and feel good about your situation and your self.

take several breaths which begin deep within your abdomen.  Breathe in gratitude and positive thoughts. Close your eyes now as you inhale.    As you exhale, visualize all negativity and toxins leaving your body and your space.

You are relaxing now.  As you breathe, feel this calm coming up through your feet and your legs.  Feel this deep relaxation as it enters your entire body.  In a short time, feel your inbreaths filling your entire body with light and positive energy.  All is positive.

After a few moments of in and out breaths, you feel deeply relaxed.

You open your eyes and see that you are sitting in your chair under a large, inflated helium balloon.

You are so relaxed that you feel weightless.

You realize that you, your chair, and your helium balloon are floating up and up and up.

You are are above the trees now.  You look around and see this new vista generated by your place above the trees.

Still rising, you float through a cloud.  Looking down, you see the earth as a ball of light.  You enjoy the love and acceptance coming to you from the earth.

After a few moments, you know that it is time for you to return to your quiet space and your celebration of your self.  You begin to float down, down, down.

You return to this space where you began your journey feeling happy and relaxed.

You take a deep breath.  You know you can return to this journey any time you want.

What is the True Meaning of Life?

Take a moment now to review your life.  Bring up memories;

Do you ever feel emotionally fulfilled?  Do you have that joyful moment when you feel pride and remember moments in your review of A life well-lived?

Call up abundance and happiness.  True joy is part of this picture.  When did you share yourself and your gifts with others?

As you review your life, review events, relationships, jobs, family, love, and generosity, where you can see things that create your  tapestry up to now.

In this review,  include the lows  and the highs to discover your life’s meaning.  Include emotional fulfillment and contentment memories which created a joyful moment.

Contentment.

DO THIS:

Make a gratitude list.

Enjoy this self-care project.  You may want to  journal it – or design an art project.  Whatever and however:  Go all out!

MEDITATION

Choose a quiet, safe location for this meditation.

Allow your whole body to relax.  Take advantage of this opportunity as you breathe comfortable in through your nose, and then, out through your mouth.  Repeat this several times.

Each inbreath brings positivity, health and gratitude.  Each outbreath removes  toxins and negativity.

Now, send your attention to each of your feet.  Feel each bone, muscle, and joint in your feet as they relax.  Allow your feet to enjoy the luxury of feeling positive and comfortable.

Release stress, pain, and anything uncomfortable.

Journey to a place where you feel safe, at home, and at peace.

Notice the sounds, smells, charm and beauty here.  Encourage this place to nourish your senses.  This moment supports and brings you peace.

Reflect on your life now.  Bring to the front of your memory those events and people who touched you in some way.  Remind yourself of caring, supporting, nurturing, and teaching.

This is time to express gratitude for all the beauty and goodness you have given and received in your life.

It is time to return to your day now.  Take a deep breath and bring yourself into the present time. This is something to remember and feel good about.

Remember, you can return to this meditation any time you desire.  It waits for you.

Thanks for reading this article.  It is here to be a conduit for your own healing.

Walk Away

Walk away from negativity.

It takes real strength to head out into the unknown.

This can be a huge act of self-love. As you walk away from what is, you may find that your soul feels lighter and freer.  After all, shedding outgrown expectations, hopes, people, ideas, beliefs, and ways of living can be a load-lightening experience.

This is a time of mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual shifts.  They bring in new, lighter feelings.  You may see things in new, brighter colors.

The intense shifting may begin a new mystical period for you. The things you just offloaded will help you travel lightly.  This shift may lead you in the direction of happiness and greater meaning.

Truthfully, as you walk away, you heal.  You’ve outgrown your past, whether it’s your job, a relationship, or your beliefs.

This is an empowering experience.

DO THIS:

Write a letter to your future.  Share your expectations as you finally seek long-needed fulfillment.

MEDITATION:

Sit in a comfortable position in a private and safe location.

Close your eyes.  Begin deep and regular breathing.  Inhale healing strength and energy.  Exhale negative and toxic elements in your life.  Repeat these healing breaths for a few repetitions and focus your breathing on your feet.

Now, breathe in healing energy through your feet and up your legs.  As you breathe in this healing energy, fill both your left and right feet and legs with nourishing, strength.

Empower your legs and feet to support and heal you in your journey to your future.

As you continue your breathing, focus on your feet and their reflex points which in turn send nourishment,  healing, and strength to your entire body.

Your toes reflex your head, brain, sinuses, eyes, and ears.

Further down your feet, your metatarsal area reflexes your heart, lungs, and organs.

As you work your feet in circular motions, your foot down to your heel area includes the digestive organs.

After a few minutes of working your feet in circular motions, visualize your feet as healthy, strong and ready to support you as you walk away.

End your meditation as you see yourself as happy, loving, and peaceful.  Visualize yourself reaching your goals.

Send blessings to the planet and all life in it.

Return now to healing inbreath and outbreaths. Breathe into your feet.  Indulge yourself for a few moments in these luxurious breaths.

It is time for this meditation to end now.  Notice how you feel.  What do you see?  How do you hear the sounds around you?

As you take a final inbreath, know that you can return to this space anytime you need a healing recharge.

7 Ways to be Light, Vibrant, Joyful

flowers (639x512).Surround yourself with things, people who make you feel light, vibrant, and joyful.

This can be a variety of things.  For some, this can be

colors,

music,

books,

plants.

But, whatever it is, surround yourself with things that make you feel great, good, vibrant, joyful.

You may find yourself painting your walls or bringing more flowers home or showcasing a shelf  of your books.  The important thing is that you are releasing endorphins when you seek joy, renewal.

As a reflexologist, let the good, vibrant, joyful attributes be visible in your practice and your healing space.  This effort will reflect itself in what your client partners take away from your sessions.

Spend a little time becoming aware of these endorphin moment(s).  Once you know what makes you happy, you can put more focus on that outcome.  When you are focused on a joyful outcome, you can be happy for longer periods.

Laughing comes easier.

Gratitude comes easier.

You’ll also be able to focus on the things in your life that you enjoy.  Your happiness will multiply then, because what you focus on grows.  You will encourage homeostasis.

As you share your happiness, others will begin to enjoy these moments as well.  So you’ll  create a ripple effect for your friends, neighbors, family, client partners.  This can have far-reaching consequences of the positive kind.

Happiness is a rare commodity these days.  Find it.  Share it. Spread it around.

One of the pluses of being light, vibrant, and joyful is that these attitudes don’t take a lot of $$$.  Happiness comes with gratitude and a smile.  It can begin with a small plant or a book by your favorite chair.

Enjoy sunrises and sunsets and delicious smells like grass and fresh leaves.

If you feel that being light, vibrant, and joyful is difficult, it’s time to do something for someone else.  The happiest people I know are those who  have learned to share  a most precious commodity:  a smile and a little time.

Tap into your creativity.  This will allow you to relax, have more fun, and explore life’s wonders.
