Discovering the Magic of Connection

When I think about the Magic of connection, a whole vocabulary surfaces:

Equality means respecting and embracing the person, the situation, and the story you participate in.

Mutual respect means accepting the reality of the person and the situation.

Other terms:  Collaboration, Companionship, Light-hearted, Understanding.

The Magic of connection depends on honest acceptance.  In a business or personal relationship you care for someone beyond yourself.  You reflect yourself through the other.

When you think of the Magic of connection, you may think of romantic love.  But this is not always the case.

A Magic Connection happens when two people from different directions and paths come together in the same space.

You can discover a Magic Connection around a job, ideologically directed events, cooking, or other things.  This connection has a soul-driven component.  There is a vulnerability  including  both partners.

When the Magic of Connection explores the past and future selves, an experience with duality emerges.

The Magic of Connection has a vibrational component  reaching  back to the mists of time past.  Your heart may lead you to heal historical miscommunications, disharmonies, and wounds.

Are you considering the Magic of Connection with someone who relates confidentially with you?  When considering this person, ask yourself:   Who receives the most attention and emotional space?

Imagine yourself sitting on a seesaw with this person.  Does the image reveal you in balance?  Are the scales even?

A MEDITATION

In a Magic connection relationship, step back a moment.  Give yourself a chance to breathe.

You can do this now.  Breathe through your feet in this meditation.

To begin with an inbreath at your toes, remove your shoes and get comfortable.

While you inhale, move your toes back and forth.  Stretch them.  Give them space to relax and feel the surrounding air.  Your toes reflex your brain, your neck.  They reflex your vision and hearing in a response to this exercise.

As you move down your toes to the metatarsal sole of your feet, feel the tension leaving your feet.   Notice how your feet feel without the tight shoes or stockings.  Visualize your feet smiling.

Experience this free feeling as it expands to your entire body.

Move your feet back and forth.  Move them in circles.  Let them relax.  As your feet relax, notice how the reflex points in your feet transfer to your whole body.

Notice your chakras now.  Feel the inclusive expansion of your feet to include a full-body relaxation that includes not only the muscles, bones, organs, and the chakras in your body.

When you reach this relaxed space in your body and spirit, hold the moment.  Breathe it in.  Enjoy it!  Absorb the moment.  Smile.

Take a few final relaxing breaths to end this exercise.

When it’s time to put your shoes back on, remember that you can enjoy this freedom of movement anytime.

The Sixth Chakra and Reflexology

DSCN0210

The sixth Chakra reflex point is located on the lower parts of the toe pads.  This is where the pituitary gland, eyes, and ears are located.

Sixth Chakra issues include

insight/denial

intuition

illusion/delusion

trust

visualization

psychic abilities

IT’S IMPOSSIBLE TO LEARN ABOUT SIXTH CHAKRA ISSUES WITHOUT QUESTIONING.

Am I able to see the bigger picture?

Can I see when my ego is in charge?

How can my life be better?

Can I make this happen?

Can I set aside time for self-reflection?

Do I know myself?

Am I blocking my creative ideas?

Are those around me blocking my creative thoughts?

Am I holding onto emotions which I should be releasing?

Am I gaining insight into myself?

Am I working to increase intuition?

Does my heart agree  with my mind?

Am I working to make life better?

Can I see the “bigger picture”?

Am I able to encourage intuitive dreams?

Am I able to encourage and manifest realities from visions?

Tuning into the conscious and subconscious mind is a sixth  Chakra issue.  There is a balance which needs to be achieved.    At one end of the line, we have a person whose mind functions on the rational level only.  When this happens, the person has difficulty visualizing things mentally and subtle communication is difficult to   understand.   This person also has trouble seeing opportunities offered by dreams or intuitive thoughts. The other end of the line is a person who lives in a fantasy and may be delusional.  When the sixth Chakra is is healthy, the person is able to balance the rational and the intuitive.

A balanced sixth Chakra is in tune with our senses as well as both the conscious and subconscious mind.  The sixth Chakra is then able to regulate the energy channels of the other Chakras.

As with the other Chakras, Reflexology for the Spirit Sessions offer homeostasis which balance all of the body systems.

Reiki therapy sessions balance the Chakras.  People with 6th Chakra issues respond positively to distant healing Reiki therapy sessions.

To help balance your sixth Chakra, take time to meditate on the ocean.  As you do this, you will be able to calm an overactive mind.  This encourages

peace

perception

understanding

concentration.

It will also encourage insight.  As people gain insight into themselves, they invite spiritual growth and development.

It’s easy to tell how centered the 6th Chakra is by observing a person’s eyes and ears.  Sight and hearing issues are related to 6th Chakra imbalances.  Other issues related to 6th Chakra imbalances include

insomnia and other sleep problems

frequent nightmares

feelings of despair

depression

When you work with your client partner’s 6th Chakra, you offer the opporunity to help him/her clear out past issues and problems to make way for the new life which is waiting.

5 Ways to Be Connected

Love Birds

The human immune system is a fast responder.  It knows immediately when/if we are having emotional or spiritual problems.  And, of course, this response affects our health.

If wellness is important to you…and I think it is because you’re a reflexologist, then one of the best things you can do is pamper your immune system.  This works for your client partners also.  No one is exempt on this.

This we know:  there is a direct correlation between negative emotions, disease, and accelerated aging.  Appreciation, sympathy, understanding are important to all of us.

Inner peace is important to being well – being grounded.

One thing in life which promotes inner peace and groundedness is an appreciation for nature and seeing the connection that all living beings share.

There are several ways to promote this connectedness:

WALK IN THE PARK.   Actually, a “walk in the park” is the generic term for any activity which gets you positively involved with nature  That can include biking, hiking, museum going, or anything else which makes you aware of how connected we all are.

GET A PET.   This is a biggie if you can do it.  Not everyone lives where pets are allowed.  But, if you can…a dog or cat is awesome.  Pets offer something which humans seem to be unable to offer:  unconditional love.

A pet will:

improve your immune system function,

give you a more positive outlook on life,

lower your blood pressure

love you unconditionally.

What more can you ask for?

KEEP A JOURNAL.    For some this can be a challenge.  But, this journal is not for anyone but yourself.  So, don’t worry about the spelling, punctuation, paragraphs, etc.

The purpose of your  journal is to make a note of special moments which sustain you when you’re feeling low.  Such moments include:

a cat’s purr

a baby’s smile

a smell of a flower

a compliment

a smile from a stranger

When you record them, you may notice that these special moments occur more often than you thought.

BREATHE.  This is a biggie.  Breathe in while while mentally repeating a positive phrase such as “I bring positive energy into my life.”  Hold your breath for a moment and then exhale as you repeat “I radiate positive energy.”  Consciously breathing for a couple of minutes each day can have a profound impact on your life.

Many people go through their whole lives not even thinking about how they breathe or what their breath does for them.  Honor your breath.

INCORPORATE SURPRISE.  Try to do something unexpected every day.  Compliment a total stranger on a haircut or a jacket or something.  It doesn’t matter what, really.  Just say something complimentary to someone who is totally not expecting anything.

Leave a small token for someone who is not expecting anything…and keep it a secret if you can.

Offer to walk someone’s dog.

Say “Thank you.”

GET INVOLVED.  This can mean walking a dog at the local pound or hosting a food drive for your local food pantry.  There are many, many groups out there where people are working to make life better for us all.  Volunteering is an extremely positive way to go through life.
