For You: Plant Your Roots in Your Future

This article is an invitation to invest your time in you.

My intention is that it is the beginning of something that will stay with you over time, as you plant your roots in a future – your future:

a new home

a new job

a new relationship.

But whatever you plant, I hope you feel more aligned with your surroundings and your inner self.

In short, I hope your future allows and encourages you to connect and grow in ways that heal and nurture your self.

In order for this to happen, I encourage you to make a vision board.

Your vision board can be magazine clippings covering a poster board. OR…

it can be a journal entry where you write an essay to your future self. OR…

it can be a sketched drawing of your future.

However you choose to create your wish list, design a reality you can work toward.

What does all this mean?

Well, for starters, it means that you juggle your energies as you balance your life as you live it today while you make way for your future. Pay attention to where your focus and energy are heading. Is your future waiting for you? Is there a sense of urgency on your path?

As you juggle your energies, you can get comfortable with your future. You may not always be sure about what is happening, though. Maybe, on some days, you’ll be saying “maybe”.

A journal may help clarify things when you explore the options you’re still deciding

about.

Take time to highlight those dreams you’re not sure you understand.

Commit to ideas and beliefs only when you are ready.

But, however, or whenever, you find your future, I’m pretty sure that you’ll know it when you find it.

Do not be afraid to admit when you are not really sure.

It’s okay to be unsure.

Still deciding is part of the journey.

Keep on exploring until you are ready

I’m a writer, Reflexology for the Spirit Teacher and Practitioner, canine massage therapy teacher, Reiki Master Teacher. I began my career as a healer in 1982 when I graduated from the Potomac Massage Therapy Institute in Washington, D. C. Because people in my field never stop learning, I practice 9 different kinds of Reiki therapy: Usui, Violet Flame, Lightarian, JinKeiDo, Mari-El, Gendai, Karuna…, Reiki for Animals, and End of Life Reiki. Although I learned several kinds of massage, I knew before I even graduated from massage school that I was going to be a reflexologist.

I teach classes and practice in a positive, upbeat healing space beside a beautiful stream in downtown Woodstock. I give talks about Reflexology for the Spirit to groups of interested people.

And, of course, my career path could never have been complete without the skills I learned as I studied animal communication, Tarot card readings, Akashic Records readings, and Angel readings.

Everyone’s feet have stories to tell. Everyone can venture down the path to healing: physical, mental, spiritual, emotional. Those who know me, work with me, and study under me, agree that I am passionate about healing work in general and Reflexology for the Spirit in particular.
