Life is Easier Without the Baggage. This is What Coming Home is Like.

When the baggage goes, you see what is left.  This leads you to a better place emotionally.

For some, this is what coming home is like.

Recovery and renewal are part of the story when you experience loss. When the old cycle ends, the new cycle begins.

Self-acceptance is the key.

Mourning and grief morph into respect and acknowledgement.  Looking back, you realize not all was lost. Learning this lesson is important to avoid repetition.

Wounds become temporary as they heal.  Forgiveness is part of the story.  With forgiveness, stagnation, self-pity, and loss cannot drain away your focus.

See yourself in a brighter future.  Reclaim your happiness, embrace hope, and eliminate grief.

Release your negative thoughts, events, and relationships.  This can be challenging when you carry your baggage through life with you.

Because it’s hard to leave the baggage behind, you’re tempted to take it with you.

Life is easier without the negativity of the baggage.

When you offload the baggage, you can make peace with what is there.

Now, you can move on to a better place.

A MEDITATION:

Begin this meditation as you sit in a comfortable position.  You may prefer to recline.  The important thing is to be comfortable and feel safe.

The goal is to be in a position where you are open to receive.

Close your eyes.

Take a deep breath – in through your nose and out through the mouth. Repeat this breath pattern several times.  Each inbreath brings healing, and relaxation.  Each exhale removes toxins and negativity.

Continue breathing slowly and deeply.  Each breath brings relaxation to your entire body.  Each exhale continues to remove toxins and negativity.

When you feel relaxed and comfortable, look around.

You are in a small canoe on a pond.  The water on the pond is still and peaceful.  Your canoe is in the center of the pond.

You sink into the deep and welcoming cushions in the canoe.  You enjoy the comfort.  You feel the peace and the stillness of the canoe and the pond.

A small current moves your canoe toward a gentle stream.  As the canoe  moves with the breeze, you notice the temperature of the air around you.  You see the trees, shrubbery, flowers, and grass along the edge of the pond.

You notice the lazy clouds moving overhead.  You see beautiful birds in the air overhead.

You become aware of the gratitude you feel just being in this space.  You appreciate the energy and the peace.  You don’t have to do anything.  Just enjoy.

After a short time, the breeze carries you and your canoe toward the shore.  You are on the beach.  Being on the beach makes you feel strong and healthy.  You feel you are a part of the earth.

As you stand beside the canoe, you experience healing energy.  You absorb the quiet of the moment.  Taking peaceful energy into your very center, you know you will remember it.

It is now time to return to your body and your conscious thought.  As you slowly move your body, you open your eyes.

Returning to full awareness, you remember all the beauty and peace you experienced on your meditation.

You know that you can return to this space whenever you desire.

Renewed and rejuvenated, you continue with your day…

Boredom: Is it Safe for Me Right Now?

Have you had the chance to be bored lately?  It’s certainly not exciting.

But such luxury!

Boredom comes on the heels of fun, joy, and all good things.  Sometimes, when boredom sets in, I wander through the house wondering things like:  Why?  What should I do now?

Once I define my situation:  the blahs! – I like to take a little time and reflect on this experience.  Truly, I’m a little afraid of boredom.

Boredom, after all, creates space for new and different and creative things to germinate.  Unexpected opportunities will appear, that’s for sure.

Meanwhile, I think about boredom.  Sitting is for thinking.  Lying down is for  recharging.  Sleeping is for healing.  Standing is for action.

Sitting invites unexpected opportunities.

When I’m bored, I stop and talk with myself about encouraging unexpected opportunities.  I know they always come:  hand-in-hand with boredom.

It’s easy to live with boredom.  After all, “blah” is safe, if nothing else.

When, if, you can shake off boredom, you’ll discover opportunities you’ve never noticed before.   They’ve been hiding just out of sight.

This is also a good time to focus on things you can create.   Tap into a timeline which isn’t available right now.  It’s there though.  Just out of sight.

Take time to meditate now.  Slow your mind a bit and heal.  Meditation can  release old emotions, making room for renewal and newness.  This helps you become comfortable.

Begin with an out-of-the-way spot where you feel safe and comfortable.  Take a deep breath.  Hold it for a moment and exhale.  As you inhale and exhale, release old memories, fears, and everything that no longer serves you.

Release tension with each exhale.

Breathe in all that you need with each inhale.

With a final inhale, see that you are walking in a forest.  Observe the stillness and the quiet as you walk along.  Smell the trees, flowers, and the clean green of the forest.

As you walk along, you come to a small pool with a gentle waterfall.  There is a bench just on the edge of the pool.

Everything is clean, quiet, and inviting.  You remove your shoes and clothes and put them on the bench.  Then you step into the pool.  The water is just the perfect temperature.  You enjoy the feel of the water as you sit in the pool

While you are  surrounding yourself in the pool, you look at the area around the edge of the  pool.  You notice the plants, the trees, and the sunlight coming down through the trees in the area around you.

As the water surrounds your body, you feel renewed, cleansed, and refreshed.

You feel like a new person.

After a short time, you look around and know it’s time to leave the pool.  You step out of the pool and find a new towel on the bench.  You dry yourself with the towel.

As you reach for your clothes, you notice they are different from the ones you left there.  These new clothes feel soft and shimmery as you put them on.  They fit you perfectly.  The colors are your favorites.

The clothes fit perfectly.  You look different now.  You feel different, changed somehow.  You begin to walk away from the pool.

As you walk away, you come to a figure on the path.  You know, without being told, that this person is joining you to answer a question you have in your heart.  .

The answer to your question appears in your mind and heart.

You know now, it is time to return to the present as you receive the wise being’s  blessing.

You leave the pool area on a path.  Feeling positive, you notice your surroundings.  You are ready to process the information you received in the forest.

It’s time to return to the present.  Filled with gratitude, you know that you can return to this place any time you want.

You send messages of gratitude to your family and friends.

Begin Your Adventure! How to Maximize An Opportunity to Give You Hope Again

Your opportunity is a powerful game changer.

Opportunities can be emotional, healing, and intimate.  They give you hope again.

Not coming around often, your opportunity seems like a gift card.

Whenever it appears in your life, one thing is sure:  You may not see the size, shape, weight, or anything else about your opportunity..

You may not know yet how much or where you’ll spend your opportunity’s currency.  It may even be difficult to impossible to visualize how your opportunity will end up.  .

Begin the adventure!

Connect with this.  Feel it.  Smell it.  Hear it.  Let it touch your heart.  Take it and make it what it will eventually become.

However this opportunity develops, use it to fulfill your dream.

Sometimes beginnings can be challenging.  The moment can be profound, even.

As your opportunity takes shape, the events may be powerful.  This can release creative and intuitive emotions.  When this happens, you may connect with your opportunity physically and spiritually.

Give it the definition It needs.

This may guide you to forgive and heal yourself.  Get ready.  Self-acceptance can be expansive.  This can be good for your opportunity and its definition.

Pay attention to the activities in your unconscious self.

You are opening up your self.  Protect your heart. It is open and filling with love.

A good step now is to write yourself a letter.  Support yourself here and now.  Welcome the growth you experience.  Embrace change and all the wondrous things coming your way.  Give yourself permission  to be the person you choose to be.  This includes your thoughts, emotions, and everything making you who you are.

Breathe in those things promising your success.  Radiate power, confidence, and whatever supports it.

Receive your talents and everything else in the world important to your self.

Accept those positive gifts and “run with them” as my grandmother used to say.

Spend time receiving Reiki therapy and reflexology sessions.  These sessions promote balance and homeostasis.  They will support your opportunity journey in ways you may not know at the moment.  Balance and homeostasis cannot be overstated.

This is Big! Life is Hectic, Busy and Full – it’s all Coming Your Way!

A lot is going on now – maybe too much.  It’s coming your way!

Security, success, and abundance are waiting for us to seek out.  There is enough to spread around and share.

Watch everything shift when you add positive energy and abundance to your life.

Your family and the surrounding community are the foundation for this situation.  Your support group and your community represent strength and comfort for us all.

Something I’ve thought about recently is legacy.  What do you want for yourself and what are your long term goals?

What improvements can you make?

What can you create in this world?

How can you touch hearts?

Can you build a future with hard work, love, and commitment?

Can you offer a gift to your community?

What can a lasting gift from you be?

Can you create things that others will consider meaningful?

Work is challenging.  Paying attention to your body, it facilitates a lot of your life with mostly not too many complaints.

Take a moment now and pay attention to your body.  Do you notice any areas needing attention?  Is your body speaking to you?

Honor your body now.  Thank it for all it has done for you throughout your years together.  Thank your body for the support it provides over time.

What can you do to take better care of it?

How about a better diet?

Enough sleep?

Regular Reiki sessions are wonderful gifts you can give to yourself.

Journal an entry thanking your body for all the things it has done for you in the past, is doing for you now, and will do for you in the future.

When Work Counts More than the Paycheck

Our work lasts for a lifetime.

A lifetime of work has three layers.  The bottom layer is the act of mastering the job itself.

The next layer is the knowledge that goes along with this job.

The top layer is the spirituality of everything:  the work, the job, and the expertise surrounding everything.

Notice that happiness is not even listed in these layers.  Happiness is a by-product of work satisfaction – if it’s even in the mix at all.  When spirituality and knowledge enter the picture, they overcome all the other shining objects seeking attention.

And, reviewing my career journey, which has spanned some odd 60 years, the jobs offering the most knowledge and spirituality did not include happiness.  There were few shortcuts.  Spirituality and expertise came from invested time and perseverance.

Workflow tells you how you are doing.  When things go well, there is a good flow – maybe.

Perfection is also absent in the lineup.  Perfection is an illusion.

It all comes down to spirituality and job knowledge.

This means you work for what you believe in over the long haul.  When you stay with your mission, you build focus and momentum.

This is a good time to connect with your future self.  Journal a letter to your future self.  Share a review of your past and describe a bit of the future you plan for yourself.   Don’t forget to give yourself the gratitude you feel for the past and the positive feelings you have for your future self.

Connect with yourself now with eight days of Reiki sessions to bring you greeting  and support and love.

Are You Getting Through Your Day on Autopilot?

Are you getting through your day on autopilot?

For me, that’s a scary thought!  When I find myself working on autopilot, any change to my pace is a real challenge.  After all, I have a tendency to just “Plug Along”.

To get off autopilot, you may have to look elsewhere for the techniques and tactics that produce the abundance you promised yourself.

Sometimes it’s a good thing to just  stop and look at where you’re putting your efforts.  Ask yourself this:  “When I step back and consider everything, is it worth it?”

Or, “Do I just keep plugging along or do I look elsewhere?”  A lot depends on how tired you are and how tedious the situation is.

Actually, I’ve faced this situation several times throughout my life.  And, I bet you have too.  I believe that weighing the pros and cons at my job to be fairly common situations…..

Consider this:  Things are happening, even if you can’t see the progress.

When you reach this plateau in your situation – whether it’s your job or a relationship or a fitness workout – it may be time to pause.  Lean into your faith and give thanks.

A good activity here is Reiki Therapy and/or reflexology.  Whether you book an appointment and receive a session or offer yourself self-Reiki is not important.  The important thing is that Reiki and reflexology are appropriate whether you give, share a session, take a class, or teach a class.

Take a break:  This can be a meditation, a short time to honor your breath, or going for a walk.  Finally, limit multitasking.

Whatever it is, you need a time out to remind yourself of your purpose.  Revisit your destination.

A project now is to prioritize and focus and review your energetic input.

What are some areas in your life where you are responsible?  Take a time out to write about these responsibilities and the sense of fulfillment you feel.  Some categories to journal about may include your health, spiritual growth, physical health, community, sleep, good deeds.  Are you proud of these responsibilities?

Your life is headed in a beautiful direction.  Express gratitude now for the coming results.  Manifest your goals with focus, attention, intention, and awareness.

Leave your frustrations, fuzzy goals, and sapped energy behind.

Focus on your goals that will make your heart sing.

It’s All About Being of Service

As you give and receive, you develop, practice, and fine-tune the helping hands you need to get through life.

It’s all about sharing with others. Sometimes, the relationship between giving and receiving can be one-sided.

Through the daily giving and receiving experience, you balance yourself.  When giving and receiving become an almost-automatic way of life, you are more balanced than you realize.

When you give your time, money, or energy to someone else, the floodgates open with resources for you. Resources come your way.

Are you longing for something right now?

If so, it is time to give of yourself.  Open your heart to the balance.  Give thanks for what you are about to receive.

The ideal situation is to make giving a way of life so you are prepared for abundance, which is on its way toward you.

GIVE TO RECEIVE

Make this a daily habit.  Be of service.  Offer your help or time just because you can give.  You don’t need a reason.

Volunteer or donate or call a friend just to say “hi”.

Don’t worry about the ego here.  It’s not necessary.  Just lean into the giving part.

Lean into regular Reiki and reflexology sessions.

Two good questions: Where can you give more?  Where can you receive more?

Running on Empty

We all have days like this.

I’m tired from the inside out.  My body is tired.  And, I’m tired of being  tired.

When I get this tired, I feel low – lacking.  Hopeless is the word for this moment.

I feel that my world simply left me out in the cold.  My world dropped me off somewhere empty, shut the door, and plans to forget me.

There is no one out there for me.  Nobody is offering me nourishment.

I am alone in this – alone and empty.

I am depleted.

There is only one way out of this:  kindness.

Kindness is color in the black and white landscape.

When I feel this way, I turn to my old standby:  Reiki therapy.  When I receive a Reiki session, I reconnect to my inner strength.  I see the magnificent rainbow color in the bleak black and white landscape.

The door is closed – but it is not locked.  My task now is to open the door.

I’m Getting By

How are you doing?

Sometimes, when we ask a person how you’re doing, we learn that you need to take a breath and pause.

Often, when a person says “I’m getting by”, the subject is about  money.  The vocabulary for “I’m getting by” includes frugality, guarding, security.  “I’m Getting By” is really an accurate way of saying:  I “Have only enough”.

If you are getting by, the chances are you’re addressing your money wounds.

This may be a good time for that.  After all, we all have money issues.

Money is loaded with memories.  They go back beyond our parents who themselves passed their parents’ own money stories down to us. Getting to the bottom line, money is a legacy.  Everyone has a money legacy.

Take a moment to call up your first money memory.

Do you remember a time when saving crossed over the line into hoarding?

Do you journal?  Have you ever journaled  your money stories, memories, and issues?  I don’t ever remember discussing journaling about money.

Serious healing can begin with money journaling.  Money journaling addresses  insecurities and abundance blocks passed down for generations.

Some day, when you have a chance, hold some coins in your hand and see them as mandalas – spiritual markers in your life.  When you see mandalas instead of coins, the light in the room suddenly becomes more clear.

The mandalas represent the part of the self which is the core of your money interest and experience.

Have you thought about how trust blends with your money issues and your life goals?  It seems these things are all braided together.

Money is not the end in itself.  In the final analysis, it’s not the money.  It’s how we respond to it and deal with it over time.  It’s how we respond to the money in different situations in life.

Meditation will help you become aware of your inner money potential.  Reiki and reflexology are two grounding and healing modalities which can help you explore  your legacy and your future.   Include healing modalities in your money growth whenever appropriate.

When things seem to be working well, prosperity flows into your life.

Go Ahead – Make the Call

Long ago, and far away, it was possible for a person to know everything there was to know.

Today, I feel it is difficult to impossible to know even all there is to know about anything – let alone everything.

When you search, learn,  and experience new things, tap into and lean on the knowledge and skills of others.

Use the skills, knowledge, and experience of others when you collaborate to grow, prosper, and develop your skills and direction.

Collaboration mixed with teamwork can smooth and balance your life journey.

Whatever you do, wherever you head, a strong support group is essential.

So, how do you do this?

For starters – ASK

That, in itself, can be a stretch.  Nobody likes to admit needing things and not knowing things.  But when you seek knowledge, you start from a foundation of not knowing.

So, what are you to do?

Well, journal entries can help.

Explore how it feels to know know what you need.  Discuss the meaning of imperfect, wrong, and dependent.

How can you accelerate this growth to get to the other side easier? There is something you can do:  Outsource

Action helps.  Reach out.

Reach out to someone for help. This boils down to another vocabulary:  ask, call, hire, order.

It also means that you can get more comfortable with being worthy. Go ahead.  You can do it!

You’re worth it!

Ask questions.  They can apply in your professional life, your social life, and in your romantic relationships.

How often can you benefit from knowing something new?

How hard is it to admit that you don’t know something?

How is your situation hindering your progress on your journey?

As you juggle all the tasks and requirements that you face at a given moment, If you reach out to someone for something you need, can you improve your situation?

Of course you can.  Go ahead.  Make the call!

Ask someone to help you plan your garden.

Ask around – who knows about a good job opening?

Call a friend for a recipe.

Hire someone to help paint a room.

Get your groceries delivered when things get crowded in your life.

Thanks for reading this article.

Sometimes, when contemplating the stretches that questions create in addition to the answers, it helps to schedule a Reiki or reflexology session.

Other times, take time out to consider the resources, allies, and experts you’ll be learning from next!
