Stark Background:\u00a0 hell – what holds you back<\/p>\n

Horns – uncivilized behavior<\/p>\n

Bat’s Wings – a nocturnal animal<\/p>\n

Taloned Feet – the devil as earth spirit<\/p>\n

Triangular Head – alert:\u00a0 negative energy pulling everything down<\/p>\n

Goat’s haunches – animal drives and instincts<\/p>\n

The Cube – the Unexplored Self<\/p>\n

Chains – accepting material bonds<\/p>\n

Torch – light in the darkness<\/p>\n

The Tails – acknowledge the primordial nature<\/p>\n

Adam & Eve – banished with paradise, enslaved and corrupted<\/p>\n

Getting to Know the Devil<\/strong><\/p>\n

Beware all things toxic.<\/p>\n

The Devil is all things making up your shadow self.\u00a0 He attracts you by offering you everything you covet.\u00a0 He wants to fill the hole in your heart.\u00a0 He tempts you with the addictions you should avoid.<\/p>\n

Getting the Devil Card can be scary but there is a good side here.\u00a0 You have the power to free yourself from the negativity.\u00a0 You are stronger than your vices.\u00a0 Seek professional help when you cannot face this issue alone.<\/p>\n

You are in a dark place.\u00a0 But, all is not lost.\u00a0 You can walk away.<\/p>\n

The Devil Card appears with issues in any struggle you experience:\u00a0 sex, food, substance, and negative thought patterns.\u00a0 You may be living with a domineering or abusive person.<\/p>\n

The Devil Card allows you to see the darkest corner of yourself. You are in a dark place, but\u00a0 all is not lost.\u00a0 You can walk away.<\/p>\n

Internal Issues:\u00a0 eating disorders, addictions, and illness (mental, physical, emotional, or spiritual).<\/p>\n

Career issues:\u00a0 bad financial contracts, unsatisfying careers, domineering bosses, toxic work environment.<\/p>\n

Relationship issues:\u00a0 controlling partners, lust-over-love situations, affairs, codependent patterns, financial dependency, ongoing money or property boundaries.<\/p>\n

The situation is different for everyone. The Devil exposes everything that is not in your benefit.\u00a0 He focuses on all things taboo.<\/p>\n

Whatever issues you identify with, run from materialism, power, self-deception, and controlling people.<\/p>\n

Break free from people and situations stealing your time, energy, and love.<\/p>\n

Beware your inner devil while you escape from under other people’s expectations.<\/p>\n

In short, liberate yourself from anything that traps you.<\/p>\n

Important here:\u00a0 Forgive yourself and offer compassion to yourself.<\/p>\n

Story<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Devil Card appeared in a gift-certificate reading I gave to a young woman.\u00a0 The minute I saw this card in the spread, I knew why she had been given the reading.<\/p>\n

The Devil Card warned her that she’s playing with fire.\u00a0 Addictive behaviors are not sustainable in the long term so what began as an escape ends up as a compulsion.\u00a0 Abusive, obsessive, harmful relationships and addiction to material things chain you to your secrets, disconnecting you from your higher power.<\/p>\n

When I asked about her boyfriend, she was surprised at how much the Devil Card revealed about her secret life.\u00a0 She appeared surprised at how unhealthy and destructive her situation really was and needed to let go of the ways she manipulated others to get what she wanted.<\/p>\n

The Devil Card in this spread pointed to the potential to be discovered when her most hidden and unexpected activities and parts of her life get exposed to the light of day.<\/p>\n

I never learned whether the shock of discovery helped her.\u00a0 But this I can say:\u00a0 Her stuckness was a choice.\u00a0 Poor decisions are an option.\u00a0 She was the only one who could change her life.<\/p>\n

The Devil Card spoke clearly:\u00a0 “Get out NOW before you get caught.”<\/p>\n

Her situation does not have to become permanent.\u00a0 She can stop this now.\u00a0 She should do this to protect her future.\u00a0 This spread spoke clearly:\u00a0 “Now is the time to control destiny.”<\/p>\n

As an aside, the spread considered a love interest, affair, or even a crush.\u00a0 The best advice here is to run in the opposite direction.\u00a0 The most she can hope for is trouble and her destruction is a very real option.<\/p>\n

Whatever her situation, the details will come with a heavy price tag.<\/p>\n

Life Changing Rituals\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Mental self-care includes going outside for your help.<\/p>\n

Physically, support your wellness without being obsessive about your diet or weight.\u00a0 Take 10 deep\u00a0 breaths every morning.<\/p>\n

Mentally, educate yourself on social issues to understand the world.<\/p>\n

Therapists, counselors, support groups, and addiction specialists are a good source.<\/p>\n

Meditation<\/strong><\/p>\n

Go to a safe and secluded space.\u00a0 Set up your area for your best meditation comfort and environment.<\/p>\n

As you settle into your meditation, close your eyes and focus on your in-and-out breaths.<\/p>\n

Inreaths promote relaxation.\u00a0 With each inbreath, allow yourself to become more and more relaxed as you nurture your positive self.\u00a0 You are the one controlling the beast.<\/p>\n

Your outbreaths reduce toxins, negativity, and anything you don’t need for your better self.\u00a0 As you inhale and exhale, you relax.<\/p>\n

With the continued breathing, your legs relax.<\/p>\n

Notice how your feet and legs shift into their most comfortable position – in a direction that frees you.<\/p>\n

As your abdomen becomes relaxed, your muscles release unwanted tension and stress.<\/p>\n

Your back and shoulders relax – releasing unwanted and unneeded stress and negativity.\u00a0 Your back and neck hold a lot of stress so this relaxation affects your total body so you can remove the chains in your life.<\/p>\n

Your relaxing meditation breathing relaxes your arms and hands.<\/p>\n

As this relaxation progresses throughout your body you notice that your body is calmer, quieter, more peaceful.<\/p>\n

Your head relaxes now.\u00a0 Your face and neck muscles.\u00a0 Gently, quietly, your body feels more relaxed.<\/p>\n

Your mind begins to calm.\u00a0 It floats.<\/p>\n

You realize you are floating away from your meditation area to an area where you feel good.\u00a0 You feel really good about yourself.<\/p>\n

Look around now.\u00a0 Where are you?\u00a0 Are you in a nature place?\u00a0 Are you someplace you visited in the past?\u00a0 Are you in a quiet room?\u00a0 Notice where you are.\u00a0 You are moving in a direction that frees you.\u00a0 Wherever this place, you’ve arrived when you enjoy being where you are.<\/p>\n

Feel the warmth of this place.\u00a0 Breathe it all in.\u00a0 Feel the air and how comfortable it is to your skin.\u00a0 Feel this warmth, this space, and the love you realize you feel.\u00a0 You feel filled with love.\u00a0 You feel accepted and forgiven.\u00a0 You can disengage from destructive behavior now.<\/p>\n

You see yourself as a perfect person in a perfect place.\u00a0 You are perfect exactly as you are.\u00a0 You enjoy yourself in this moment.\u00a0 You experience the joy of just being you.<\/p>\n

Feel the warmth of the space.\u00a0 Breathe in peace and well-being with you.\u00a0 Carry it with you throughout your day.<\/p>\n

You are your own liberator.\u00a0 You know you can return to this space whenever you need.<\/p>\n
