{"id":572,"date":"2014-05-07T06:31:14","date_gmt":"2014-05-07T11:31:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/reflexologyforthespirit.com\/blog\/?p=572"},"modified":"2014-05-07T06:31:14","modified_gmt":"2014-05-07T11:31:14","slug":"a-guided-meditation-an-angel-a-gift-and-a-safe-place","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/reflexologyforthespirit.com\/blog\/2014\/05\/07\/a-guided-meditation-an-angel-a-gift-and-a-safe-place\/","title":{"rendered":"A Guided Meditation &#8211; An Angel, a Gift, and a Safe Place"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/reflexologyforthespirit.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/Page0002-211.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-609\" alt=\"Page0002 (2)\" src=\"http:\/\/reflexologyforthespirit.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/Page0002-21-242x300.jpg\" width=\"242\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/reflexologyforthespirit.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/Page0002-21-242x300.jpg 242w, https:\/\/reflexologyforthespirit.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/Page0002-21-827x1024.jpg 827w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 242px) 100vw, 242px\" \/><\/a>For this meditation, the first thing to do is get as comfortable as possible. \u00a0This means being in a comfortable chair, recliner, or lying face up on a massage table or other flat surface.<\/p>\n<p>Straighten your spine, relax your shoulders, allow your chair, recliner, or massage table to support your body.<\/p>\n<p>Now, make sure your clothes are comfortable. \u00a0Loosen anything that is tight or constraining.<\/p>\n<p>Uncross your arms, legs.<\/p>\n<p>Focus on your breath as you go within. \u00a0Gently , bring your awareness to your breathing. \u00a0Be aware of how you relax as you breathe in and out. \u00a0Feel your spine, neck, shoulders, arms, and legs relax as you breathe.<\/p>\n<p>Use your breath to allow yourself to become more relaxed. \u00a0As you breathe in and out, use your out breathe to release tension. \u00a0Use your in breath to bring relaxation and appreciation into \u00a0your body through your respiratory system.<\/p>\n<p>As you breathe in, continue to allow your breath to bring relaxation and appreciation to your entire body, ending with your feet. \u00a0Breathe deeply and relax with each in breath and each out breath.<\/p>\n<p>As you become more and more relaxed, you realize you have a visitor, \u00a0a very special visitor in this space with you. \u00a0Quietly, as you breathe in and out, you see an angel close by. \u00a0This angel has come to visit with you for a few moments and to bring you a special gift.<\/p>\n<p>Notice \u00a0this angel now. \u00a0How does this angel appear? \u00a0What colors do you see?<\/p>\n<p>As you note the angel&#8217;s size, colors, and general appearance, you become aware of the angel offering you a special gift. \u00a0As you make contact with this angel and begin to communicate, you learn that your angel is giving you a beautiful glass bottle with a stopper.<\/p>\n<p>You notice what this bottle looks like, how large it is, what color the glass is and what the stopper in the top of the jar looks like. \u00a0Your angel offers you this special jar and you are happy to accept it.<\/p>\n<p>You begin to realize that this jar has a special purpose just for you. \u00a0You see that this jar is empty now and that it is waiting to be filled by you.<\/p>\n<p>You know that your angel wants you to take your burdens and put them in this beautiful container. \u00a0So, you remove the stopper and begin to place your burdens in the bottle: \u00a0work, anxieties, apprehensions, stress, fear, dangers, questions, pain.<\/p>\n<p>Continue to place these concerns and burdens in this bottle until you have filled it \u00a0with every concern you have.<\/p>\n<p>Now, very carefully, place the stopper on the bottle. \u00a0As you are holding this bottle filled \u00a0with your concerns, you look around and see a \u00a0table nearby. \u00a0You gently place the bottle on the table.<\/p>\n<p>You realize that by placing your problems and concerns in the jar on the table, \u00a0you are disposing of each and every one of them.<\/p>\n<p>You know that, should you need them, you can return for them. \u00a0But, you also know that if you don&#8217;t need them, they are gone. \u00a0Thank you angel.<\/p>\n<p>You thank your special angel for this wonderful gift. \u00a0What a lovely thing&#8230;a bottle especially created to hold your worries.<\/p>\n<p>You now become aware of your breathing again. \u00a0You are ready to return to the present. \u00a0You breathe deeply for a few more moments and then begin to gently move your hands and arms, feet and legs.<\/p>\n<p>You are back in the room now. \u00a0Rested. \u00a0Relaxed. \u00a0Happy to have visited with your angel. \u00a0Happy to have received the beautiful bottle with the fancy stopper. \u00a0Happy to have disposed of troubles.<\/p>\n<p>Thank you for reading this blog\/book.<\/p>\n<p>Please share this article with your preferred social network.<\/p>\n<p>Please send a comment.<\/p>\n<p>Peace and food for all.<\/p>\n<p>Thurman Greco<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>For this meditation, the first thing to do is get as comfortable as possible. \u00a0This means being in a comfortable chair, recliner, or lying face up on a massage table or other flat surface.
