Since the ’90s, I’ve taught Reiki and Reflexology to students of all ages, sizes, and shapes.\u00a0 I made a conscious effort to let my students fly free, once he or she received the certificates earned.\u00a0 .<\/p>\n

Healing is a personal path for a student.\u00a0 Eventually, the learned skills will surface in a way that is best for the universe.\u00a0 Sometimes the surfacing happens quite soon.\u00a0 Other times, it may take years as the student carries the energy around quietly, underground almost – waiting for just the right time.\u00a0 Meanwhile, the healing Reiki energy percolates, hidden below the surface.<\/p>\n

Soon after Donald Trump was inaugurated, I put out an extremely quiet call to some Reiki Master Practitioners.\u00a0 “Come over and get your teacher wings.”<\/p>\n

A few answered the call.\u00a0 I attuned them all to the Reiki Master Teacher Level and, again, set them loose to do what they felt called to do.<\/p>\n

Karen kept in touch.\u00a0 She took her attunement seriously and, throughout the Pandemic, taught and practiced Reiki.\u00a0 Karen worked outdoors throughout this time.\u00a0 She practiced her profession in a park about 2 blocks from her home.<\/p>\n

Some days were hot.\u00a0 Others were cold.\u00a0 Nobody seemed to mind.<\/p>\n

Now, in these days and times, Karen is ill.\u00a0 She is teaching us all how to prepare for the future when there isn’t much time left on this plane.<\/p>\n

She is allowing her students and fellow practitioners the opportunity to offer\u00a0 Reiki. This is a special time for all of us. Her students set up a time:\u00a0 Tuesday afternoons at 3:00.<\/p>\n

People drop by her home to see how she’s doing.\u00a0 Some\u00a0 prepare food.\u00a0 Others run errands, etc. Everyone is finding things that need attention.\u00a0 Hospice is in the mix.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Reiki is at the core of this transition.\u00a0 We participate the best way we can.<\/p>\n

One thing happening out loud is this:\u00a0 When we learn Reiki or other healing modality, we’re not sure what we’re going to do with our new certificate and skill.<\/p>\n

Whatever we do, Reiki meets us where we are.\u00a0 However we use the things we’ve learned, it’s all for the good of the universe.<\/p>\n

We are not here to change a story when offering therapy.\u00a0 Instead, we are a conduit for healing.\u00a0 Nothing more.<\/p>\n

I am grateful to each and every student I’ve had over the past years.\u00a0 Each of you is an educational experience for me.\u00a0 You have, one and all, given me the highest honor a teacher can receive:\u00a0 Your trust.<\/p>\n
