Really."},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/reflexologyforthespirit.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/fountain-of-youth1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-1744\" src=\"https:\/\/reflexologyforthespirit.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/fountain-of-youth1-300x230.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"230\" srcset=\"https:\/\/reflexologyforthespirit.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/fountain-of-youth1-300x230.jpg 300w, https:\/\/reflexologyforthespirit.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/fountain-of-youth1.jpg 468w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>You and I are constantly bombarded with conflicting information about our health.\u00a0 What&#8217;s good.\u00a0 What&#8217;s bad.\u00a0 We&#8217;re complex beings.\u00a0 Good health involves our bodies physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.\u00a0 You may not agree with all the information on these pages.\u00a0 But, for me, these words resonate with the truth.<\/p>\n<p>For me, good health comes down to 7daily habits:<\/p>\n<p>Not Smoking is Essential.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/reflexologyforthespirit.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/6a00d83454ad5369e201156f864895970c-we-can-do-it-228x30011.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-2165\" src=\"https:\/\/reflexologyforthespirit.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/6a00d83454ad5369e201156f864895970c-we-can-do-it-228x30011-228x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"228\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I put this habit first because it has a tendency to make people angry when they hear about not smoking or read about not smoking.\u00a0 So, I&#8217;m just getting it out there in front.\u00a0 That way, you can get over your anger reaction when we move on to the other essential habits which are easier to deal with and much more positive.<\/p>\n<p>But, before we move on I do have one suggestion:\u00a0 Reduce your habit to five cigarettes a day.\u00a0 When you get down to five a day, zero is an easy goal.<\/p>\n<p>Have you tried the gum from the pharmacy?<\/p>\n<p>Is there a smokers support group in your area?<\/p>\n<p>Hypnotherapy?\u00a0 Biofeedback?<\/p>\n<p>Whatever?.\u00a0 Do whatever you have to do to give up the smoking.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/reflexologyforthespirit.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/Oct_25hagiaSophia0221.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-2163\" src=\"https:\/\/reflexologyforthespirit.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/Oct_25hagiaSophia0221-300x175.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"175\" srcset=\"https:\/\/reflexologyforthespirit.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/Oct_25hagiaSophia0221-300x175.jpg 300w, https:\/\/reflexologyforthespirit.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/Oct_25hagiaSophia0221.jpg 960w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Maintain a Healthy Weight.<\/p>\n<p>Losing or gaining weight to reach your ideal weight gets harder with every passing year, so the younger you are when you work on your weight, the easier it is.\u00a0 Weight Watchers or Overeaters Anonymous may be a good option for you. Biofeedback can help.<\/p>\n<p>An interested\u00a0 nutritionist can guide you to your goal and include specific foods\u00a0 contributing to your continued good health at the same time.\u00a0 You&#8217;ll get twice the bang for your buck with nutritional guidance.\u00a0 For example, if you\u00a0 need to gain or lose weight, and you have heart health issues,\u00a0 a nutritionist can work on the weight situation along with your heart disease.\u00a0 I don&#8217;t know about you, but I love I love to accomplish two things at a time.<\/p>\n<p>Eat Many Fruits and Vegetables.<\/p>\n<p>Wellness gurus teach five servings of fruits and vegetables are a minimum number for a well-nourished person to eat daily.\u00a0 This five-serving recommendation is easy for me to share.\u00a0 It can be fun.\u00a0 I like the idea of thinking about which five fruits and vegetables will be on my plate today.\u00a0 Planning for each day&#8217;s selection gives them focus and importance.\u00a0 Planning gives me a chance to experiment a bit.\u00a0 You can do this, too.\u00a0 It&#8217;s easier than you think.\u00a0 Choose one new vegetable or fruit each week at your grocery.\u00a0 Take it home and learn about it:<\/p>\n<p>What is it called?<\/p>\n<p>Where is home for this food?<\/p>\n<p>What are some popular ways to cook it?<\/p>\n<p>How should it be stored?<\/p>\n<p>What is the best way to combine it with other foods?<\/p>\n<p>How should it be eaten?<\/p>\n<p>If you discover one new fruit or vegetable weekly, your dietary skills will be vastly different in a year.<\/p>\n<p>Exercise Regularly<\/p>\n<p>The field is open here.\u00a0 Your exercise can be drudgery or fun.\u00a0 Spend as little or as much money as you want.\u00a0 Choose one or two activities to participate in regularly.\u00a0 The point is to stay active throughout your life.\u00a0 Combine exercise with other daily habits.\u00a0 I wear a fitness watch which beeps when I don&#8217;t move enough.\u00a0 It also rewards me with a beep when I&#8217;ve exceeded my daily goal.\u00a0 I have a job requiring that I stay off my seat and on my feet.\u00a0 I&#8217;m making money while exercising a fun bonus!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/reflexologyforthespirit.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/waterwingsTG.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium biggie.\u00a0 It plays a part in many health problems.\u00a0 Meditation walks, laughter, sharing, singing, nature bathing, journaling, drawing can help you reduce stress.\u00a0 Make room in your schedule for stress reduction activities.<\/p>\n<p>Note:\u00a0 There are several articles on this subject in earlier posts in this blog.\u00a0 I periodically discuss stress.\u00a0 \u00a0If you look around on the blog, you&#8217;ll find\u00a0 much information.<\/p>\n<p><a Healing Bodywork in Your Life.<\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;ve never gotten a massage, received Reiki therapy, or other bodywork, schedule a session.\u00a0 Just to learn about it.\u00a0 As time passes, schedule another session with a different healer.\u00a0 Schedule a reflexology session (or other bodywork) to celebrate an event:\u00a0 birthday, anniversary, a good day at work, the Spring Equinox, etc.<\/p>\n<p>.In short, schedule healing bodywork sessions whenever you want.\u00a0 If you end up on a cruise, hang out in the spa instead of the bar.<\/p>\n<p>Over time, you&#8217;ll get inspired and book regular sessions.\u00a0 Your body will thank you for the attention!\u00a0 Everything always seems to go better with reflexology!<\/p>\n<p><a
