kindness to ourselves that we give to others.<\/p>\n<p>When you have negative or critical thoughts about yourself, stop for a moment and ask yourself this:\u00a0 &#8220;Would I say these things about a good friend?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The chances are that you would not.\u00a0 You would not be unkind to someone else.<\/p>\n<p>Now, try being as kind to yourself as you would to a loved one.<\/p>\n<p>The next time things go wrong, accept the event for what it is.\u00a0 Then, apologize for what happened if that&#8217;s appropriate.\u00a0 Then, forgive yourself.<\/p>\n<p>Learning from mistakes and moving on is a positive way to get through life.<\/p>\n<p>Forgiving yourself is what allows you to get through life.\u00a0 When you forgive yourself, you are being nice to yourself.\u00a0 It&#8217;s easier to be happy that way.<\/p>\n<p>When you forgive yourself, you are offering self-care.\u00a0 This sends nourishing messages to the brain about your self-worth.<\/p>\n<p>Try, every day, to care for yourself in every way possible.<\/p>\n<p>When stress accumulates, this facial massage meditation will relieve muscles and leave you feeling better.<\/p>\n<p><a center;\">\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Facial Massage Meditation<\/p>\n<p>For many of us, the day&#8217;s stress accumulates in the muscles of the head, face, and jaw.\u00a0 Massaging your face and head can smooth the tiny muscles and nerve endings.\u00a0 Stress and fatigue will have a chance to disappear.<\/p>\n<p>Begin this meditation by finding a quiet place where you will be undisturbed for a few minutes.<\/p>\n<p>Lie flat on a chair, bed, or floor, with your face up.\u00a0 \u00a0If that is not comfortable, find a comfortable chair or recliner to sit comfortably.<\/p>\n<p>Cover your body with a light blanket or sheet so you won&#8217;t get cold as your body relaxes and cools.<\/p>\n<p>Take\u00a0several deep breaths.\u00a0 Begin these breaths in your abdominal area.\u00a0 Breathe in deeply and hold the breath to the count of three:\u00a0 1 &#8211; 2 &#8211; 3.<\/p>\n<p>Now slowly release the breath.\u00a0 When you exhale, you release toxins and stress.<\/p>\n<p>Repeat these inhalations and exhalations 1-2 minutes.\u00a0 As you inhale, you l breathe in healthy air.\u00a0 With each exhalation, you release toxins and stress.<\/p>\n<p>Become aware of your forehead.\u00a0 Mentally relax your forehead to erase wrinkles of expression&#8230;the space between your eyebrows becomes bigger.\u00a0 Your eyelids are heavy.<\/p>\n<p>Move your fingers to your forehead and slowly massage it in small circles.<\/p>\n<p>When you feel that your forehead is becoming relaxed, move your fingers to your temples and gently move them in clockwise and counterclockwise motions.\u00a0 Feel this area relaxing.<\/p>\n<p>Notice the tension behind your eyes, and around your eyes and release it.<\/p>\n<p>Now, place your fingers on your temples and move your fingers in small, gentle dime-size circles for a few minutes.<\/p>\n<p>Move your fingers down to your chin and gently, gently pinch your chin and along your jawline to your ears.<\/p>\n<p>Now, move your hands to your cheeks.\u00a0 Massage your soft cheek tissue in a circular motion.<\/p>\n<p>Now, move your hands to your ears.\u00a0 Gently massage along the edges of your ears for a couple of moments.\u00a0 \u00a0Now, give your ears some long, luscious pulls.<\/p>\n<p>You are finishing your facial massage now.\u00a0 Notice any thoughts, feelings, or sensations you experience now.<\/p>\n<p>Stay quiet for 1-2 minutes while you enjoy and refresh from this experience.<\/p>\n<p>It is time now to return to the present time.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/reflexologyforthespirit.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/DSCN02101.jpg\"><img
