preventable\u00a0 when you maintain your good health.\u00a0 Staying healthy doesn&#8217;t take a lot of time.\u00a0 Small changes can make big differences.<\/p>\n<p>Positive lifestyle habits contribute to a lifetime of good health.\u00a0 This blog is filled with suggestions.\u00a0 Throughout our lives we all make choices about how we are going to live our lives on a day to day basis.\u00a0 These choices directly impact how and when our lives will end.<\/p>\n<p>Developing a working relationship with your healthcare professional is essential.\u00a0 Many people enjoy good health for years and feel they don&#8217;t need a doctor.\u00a0 This can&#8217;t be further from the truth.\u00a0 When an accident or illness strikes, you need to know a health care professional, his\/her contact information, and you need to have had an appointment within the last year.<\/p>\n<p>People who are never sick haven&#8217;t a clue about what to do when a bone is broken or a head is concussed.\u00a0 They don&#8217;t speak hospital and they suddenly find themselves in a foreign land unable to read the directional signs.<\/p>\n<p>Become aware of your body and how it works.\u00a0 Know what to do when medical attention is needed.\u00a0 Learn\u00a0 first aid skills.<\/p>\n<p>Learn to get a healthy night&#8217;s sleep.\u00a0 Sleep is a core element of your good health.\u00a0 It goes right along with knowing about your body and how it works.\u00a0 Now, add healthy eating and good physical activity.\u00a0 When you combine these stepping stones, you have a basic plan to maintain your wellness.<\/p>\n<p>For me, there are several causes of disease.\u00a0 Some are nutritional.\u00a0 The first nutritional cause of disease is created by DEFICIENCIES in your diet.\u00a0 Culprits here are sugar, white flour, processed foods, and added chemicals.<\/p>\n<p>Half our population has DIGESTIVE ISSUES.\u00a0 Many people have resigned themselves to living with them for the remainder of their lives.\u00a0 Your body is made to heal your digestive issues because you have a built in abdominal brain which communicates with your cranial brain when there&#8217;s a problem.<\/p>\n<p>This is where\u00a0 prebiotics and probiotics\u00a0 come in.\u00a0 And where things like regular reflexology sessions\u00a0 enter the picture.\u00a0 And Reiki therapy.\u00a0 And chakra healing.\u00a0 Appropriate bodywork has a place in\u00a0 maintaining your health and wellness life.<\/p>\n<p>Our bodies can be toxic, all the way down to your CELLULAR\u00a0 LEVEL.\u00a0 Read the labels on the foods you buy.\u00a0 If you can&#8217;t pronounce a word or words you read on the ingredients list, put the item back on the shelf.<\/p>\n<p>CHRONIC INFLAMMATION is big on the list of cause of disease.\u00a0 As you work to develop good health, you&#8217;ll get up close and personal with chronic inflammation if you go about this the right way.<\/p>\n<p>When it comes to your good health, it all comes down to this:\u00a0 Eat whole foods.\u00a0 Eat nuts.\u00a0 Use olive oils.\u00a0 Eat grass fed meats.<\/p>\n<p>A SEDENTARY LIFESTYLE will age you as fast as anything.\u00a0 As I walk down a sidewalk, I see people who move and those who can&#8217;t.\u00a0 Be the one who moves, not the one who doesn&#8217;t .\u00a0 10,000 steps every day is a good start.<\/p>\n<p>POOR SLEEP HABITS are huge on the list of habits which cause disease.\u00a0 Sleep\u00a0 regenerates.\u00a0 Sleep organizes.\u00a0 Sleep rehabilitates.\u00a0 Sleep is therapy.<\/p>\n<p>Get enough of it.<\/p>\n<p>When it comes to PRESCRIPTIVE AND OVER THE COUNTER MEDICINES,\u00a0 take only the minimum you need.\u00a0 The same holds true for medicinal herbs.\u00a0 The bottom line is that anything that can change your body for the better can also change it for the worse if it&#8217;s not appropriate for you, your health issues, your body, your age.<\/p>\n<p>We all need a reason to get up in the morning &#8211; every morning.\u00a0 SMILES are necessary to your good health.<\/p>\n<p>SOME BASIC WELLNESS GUIDELINES:<\/p>\n<p>Good quality, nourishing food is essential.\u00a0 This statement does not promote one diet for all.\u00a0 The diet nourishing you may not nourish me at all.<\/p>\n<p>The part of the statement, good quality, is the one size for all part.\u00a0 In order that what you eat does the best for your wellness, health, and physical fitness, it must be good quality.<\/p>\n<p>Pure air and water are essential.<\/p>\n<p>All of us need adequate warmth and shelter.<\/p>\n<p>We each need a reason to get up every day.<\/p>\n<p>Balancing work, play, and rest is important.<\/p>\n<p>Everyone needs a positive sense of self worth.\u00a0 We all need positive feelings about our
