specific lifestyle which promotes good health.\u00a0Your first step to living a longer life is making this commitment to long-term good health and longevity.<\/p>\n<p>You begin this path to live a longer life and have long term good health when you realize and understand\u00a0 you can&#8217;t just blame your genes for your health.\u00a0 Your continued good health depends on developing habits and practicing\u00a0 useful\u00a0 things regularly that\u00a0 support your commitment.<\/p>\n<p>Develop your plan for a longer life now.\u00a0 Plan how your life will be when you are in your 80&#8217;s, 90&#8217;s, or even 100.\u00a0 Will you be alert and active with friends?\u00a0 Will you be living alone?\u00a0 Will you be mentally alert?<\/p>\n<p>Imagine yourself as a healthy person living\u00a0 a longer life.\u00a0 Focus on this goal.\u00a0 Be ready to make changes in your lifestyle\u00a0 to achieve the results you want.<\/p>\n<p>Make regular reflexology sessions a part of your life.<\/p>\n<p>For starters, review\u00a0 your diet.\u00a0 Are you consuming generous servings of\u00a0 vegetables and fruits?\u00a0 Do you eat lean protein every day?\u00a0 Do you eat whole grain foods, brown rice, nuts, and legumes?\u00a0 \u00a0(I&#8217;ll cover the diet portion of\u00a0 a longevity\u00a0 lifestyle in future posts.)<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Take care to prevent overeating.\u00a0 If you eat a proper diet in the proper amounts, you should have energy, you will slow the aging process, and you will postpone or prevent chronic diseases.<\/p>\n<p>If you can prevent overeating, your body will be able to handle more types of stress, something that&#8217;s important if you are concerned about living a long life.<\/p>\n<p>Develop a daily walking routine.\u00a0 Walking 10,000 steps each day will increase blood flow to the brain\u00a0 resulting in an improved memory.\u00a0 How can you do this?\u00a0 Walk more.\u00a0 Walk during your lunch hour.\u00a0 Take the stairs instead of the elevator.\u00a0 Make it a goal to get off your seat and on your feet.\u00a0 Choose volunteer activities which require walking.<\/p>\n<p>Take your vitamins!\u00a0 But, not just any vitamins.\u00a0 You don&#8217;t want to waste your money on nutrients you don&#8217;t need.\u00a0 Do\u00a0 some research.\u00a0 Make your knowledge current before you decide which vitamins to take.\u00a0 I&#8217;ll share more information about minerals and vitamins in future blog posts.\u00a0 For now, I suggest you look into vitamin D3.\u00a0 Find out for yourself if\u00a0 that&#8217;s a vitamin you need.\u00a0 \u00a0 When you take your vitamins, take them with food to promote absorption.<\/p>\n<p>Take an aspirin a day&#8230;if your healthcare provider says it&#8217;s okay.\u00a0 I believe\u00a0 aspirin in moderation on a daily basis can help prevent diseases such as heart attack\u00a0 and some form of cancer.\u00a0 But, again, don&#8217;t take my word
