{"id":182,"date":"2014-02-16T15:11:57","date_gmt":"2014-02-16T20:11:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/reflexologyforthespirit.com\/blog\/?p=182"},"modified":"2014-02-16T15:11:57","modified_gmt":"2014-02-16T20:11:57","slug":"the-first-step-in-a-reflexology-session-part-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/reflexologyforthespirit.com\/blog\/2014\/02\/16\/the-first-step-in-a-reflexology-session-part-2\/","title":{"rendered":"The First Step in a Reflexology Session &#8211; Part 2"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In the last post, we discussed welcoming\u00a0your client partner into your healing space, gaining trust, and offering essential oils.\u00a0 We&#8217;re now going to\u00a0 begin the healing process.<\/p>\n<p>Remove the socks.\u00a0 Cover the feet with a towel.\u00a0 Rotate the ankles 4 or 5 times clockwise and then counterclockwise.\u00a0 This ankle rotation will tell you much about the person&#8217;s physical, mental, and spiritual health.\u00a0 As you develop your practice, you may find other things that have more meaning for you than the ankle rotation.\u00a0 For now, try the ankle rotations and see how they help give insight into your client partner&#8217;s needs.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Observe the skin.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Look for:\u00a0 hard skin, dry flaky skin, cuts, odor, pigmentation, color (red, yellow, pink, white, orange).\u00a0 Are there skin cracks, crevices, swelling, calluses, corns, sores, flaking? \u00a0Where are your findings located?\u00a0 There are references to all of these things throughout the blog\/book.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Hard skin and thickened skin patches represent places in a person&#8217;s life where extra protection is needed.\u00a0 Toenails will thicken up when protection is needed.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Hard cracked skin areas represent places where there are issues.\u00a0 An example of this is cracked heels.\u00a0 When you see this, you&#8217;re looking at a person with issues concerning core values.\u00a0 Other times it can be disease.\u00a0 If you see hardened skin over the thyroid area of the foot, for example, you&#8217;re probably looking at a thyroid imbalance.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The color of the feet reflects your client&#8217;s emotional and spiritual situation at the moment.\u00a0 White feet represent a\u00a0totally stressed out person.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Red reflects anger.\u00a0 Sometimes, if a foot or part of a foot is red and hot, there&#8217;s a recent injury.\u00a0 The red heat is the blood rushing to the injury to carry off the toxins generated by the injury.\u00a0 This is a good thing.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Orange feet represent\u00a0 a person who is totally disgusted and may be experiencing a variety of emotions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Blue and purple places on the feet represent the bruises (or may actually be the bruises) that s\/he is dealing with in life.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">If the total foot is not a particular color but the color is coming through in spots or places, note what these places reflex to.\u00a0 For example, if a person has white places on the feet in the area of the heart, you&#8217;re dealing with a client who is completely stressed out over a &#8220;love&#8221; issue.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Beyond the skin, examine the foot.\u00a0\u00a0Note bunions, hammertoes, flat feet, swollen feet and ankles, deformed or unhealthy nails.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Not only is it important to notice all the things on the feet and ankles, but it&#8217;s important to note where these things are.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">We&#8217;ll finish the &#8220;first step&#8221; in the next post.\u00a0 I hope you found this helpful.\u00a0 Please leave your comments below and check out the other posts.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">As always, this post comes to you from my Woodstock\u00a0healing space.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Peace and food for all.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Thurman Greco<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In the last post, we discussed welcoming\u00a0your client partner into your healing space, gaining trust, and offering essential oils.\u00a0 We&#8217;re now going to\u00a0 begin the healing process.
