{"id":1519,"date":"2015-01-26T07:13:24","date_gmt":"2015-01-26T12:13:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/reflexologyforthespirit.com\/blog\/?p=1519"},"modified":"2015-01-26T07:13:24","modified_gmt":"2015-01-26T12:13:24","slug":"the-spirituality-of-the-lungs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/reflexologyforthespirit.com\/blog\/2015\/01\/26\/the-spirituality-of-the-lungs\/","title":{"rendered":"The Spirituality of the Lungs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/reflexologyforthespirit.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/FullSizeRender1-111.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-1219\" alt=\"Fly High\" src=\"http:\/\/reflexologyforthespirit.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/FullSizeRender1-11-1024x949.jpg\" width=\"578\" height=\"535\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Lungs are where we house grief, sadness. \u00a0These emotions are with us over time.<\/p>\n<p>Our lungs constantly work throughout our lives&#8230;from the first breath to the last. \u00a0It&#8217;s interesting to me that they have no muscles. \u00a0Diaphragm \u00a0muscles keep pumping the lungs.<\/p>\n<p>When anguish, dependence, stress, anger, sadness, and fatigue take over in our lives, it is difficult<\/p>\n<p>to be independent,<\/p>\n<p>to think clearly,<\/p>\n<p>to say &#8220;no&#8221;,<\/p>\n<p>to honor oneself,<\/p>\n<p>to heal,<\/p>\n<p>to become vital and flexible again,<\/p>\n<p>to encourage creativity.<\/p>\n<p>When you find yourself being overtaken by grief and sadness, it&#8217;s time to reduce your anxiety.<\/p>\n<p>Begin by getting comfortable in a seated position.<\/p>\n<p>Take a deep breath and hold it an extra moment&#8230;..<\/p>\n<p>Breathe out and relax&#8230;..<\/p>\n<p>Breathe in and out for a couple of minutes. \u00a0As you inhale, invite peace and calm to enter your life. \u00a0Relax on the exhale.<\/p>\n<p>After breathing in and out with peace and relaxation, verbalize this feeling: \u00a0&#8220;I invite deep peace and relaxation to enter my life with each breath.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Now, continue breathing in and out as you release the sadness, anger, grief in your life.<\/p>\n<p>Continue to breathe in relaxation and breathe out negativity. \u00a0All you have to do for a couple of minutes is breathe in the positive and breathe out \u00a0negative thoughts.<\/p>\n<p>As you release negativity and invite relaxation into your life, notice the different ways you begin to feel better.<\/p>\n<p>Open your eyes now and move gently as you end the session. \u00a0Try \u00a0to repeat this exercise whenever \u00a0you feel overcome by sadness, grief, anxiety, negativity.<\/p>\n<p>At the end of this exercise, embrace the positive parts of your life.<\/p>\n<p>Thank you for reading this blog\/book.<\/p>\n<p>Please refer this article to your preferred social media network.<\/p>\n<p>Please leave a comment.<\/p>\n<p>Peace and food for all.<\/p>\n<p>Thurman Greco<\/p>\n<p>Artwork donated by Michele Garner<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Lungs are where we house grief, sadness. \u00a0These emotions are with us over time.
